Exactly like it says in the thread title :)

I'm wanting to buy a laser power meter, and my budget is around 250$ or so. After shipping and everything it'll be probably close to 300$, so I'm making my budget around 250$

I don't need something CRAZY, but I would like it to do a couple of things:

I'd like it to have a 2W limit with a 1mw resolution
I would like to have some software or something that can record the input values at regular intervals. (I suppose that means it needs a data output for a computer lol)

Anyway, that's really it. The second part is actually pretty much optional, because I can do it manually if needed. It would just be nice to have it generated through software automatically so I don't need to.

The 2W limit could be as low as 1.5W but it has to support a range of spectrums (not just like green for example)

That's my only real requirement :)

(And shipping to Canada lol)

I wanted to offer here first before I just go out and buy a new one though, knowing that people in here have decent stuff for sale sometimes. I'd rather give someone in here money than a large company :)

Thanks in advance

Yeah, I had been looking at the Radiant Alpha for a few months but they're like *NEVER* in stock... But it would work perfectly for what I want.

I'll check out the laserbee's :)

I just spoke (er, laser-chatted) Mariomaster, and he said that he will have some more Radiant Alpha's in a few days. :p

I recommend the LaserBee II as well, if you can afford it. It in includes data logging and some really nice new software (if I do say so myself).

Here is a link to a 2.1W LaserBee 1-X. For $35 more you get the logging feature! Fits your budget and probably stays below the $250 mark because you're in Canada too.

Thanks for these links. I've been looking for the same thing minus the data logging. It's encouraging to hear that Mariomaster should have some of his Radiant Alphas soon.

Dang, I knew this was the right place to ask around ;-)

I'm definitely looking into that laserbee 1-x right now, it is exactly what I'm looking for. Hrmmm... Within budget too.

Appreciate the help! *clicks bid*

If you're interested in an upgraded Kenometer USB that's accurate to 0.1mW and goes to 5W, drop me a PM. :)
