Even if I were still making my meters the price is more than $200.  I made the mistake of selling my meters which were worth waaay more than $200 for $150 and now there are no more available.

Essentially what it comes down to is if you want a meter,  Save up and buy a quality one.  In order to do that, your going to need more than $150-$170.  Even the used one's on ebay are worth more than that!
Ya, whatever. If your not going to sell anything then don't post...
It's not because Kenom doesn't want to sell... I is just that he can't get the parts to build one...
They are no longer available...

Kenom was only pointing out that it will be very difficult to find a good Laser Power Meter for less than
$200.00.. and I agree.. :)

well certain blu rays may be worth that much depending on the brand or who makes them but you can also get lpms for very cheap but they wont be worth a damn especially with 405nm.

a thermopile meter for 200 is a VERY good deal and i can bet you wont find any other new ones for that price.

so really i still suggest the lpm1 from laserbee.

or if you wanted you could send me or any reputable person with a power meter your laser and im sure they would gladly measure the readings and if they have data logging and graphing ability they would probably even do a print out for you to have for your records :)

i would gladly do this until you find the funds to buy your own.

just pay for shipping

Hey thesk8nmidget,
thanks for thinking of the LaserBee I...

but we DO NOT sell the LPM-1... it is a LPM based on an Optical sensor.

What we sell is the LaserBee I with a Thermopile sensor. ;)

Yeah Tommy... like I said... the LPM-1 is an Optical sensor based LPM... and I've heard (here on LPF)
that there is an issue getting reliable readings on 405nm Blu-ray diodes.... although at higher
wavelengths it is quite accurate..

I'd still go for the Laserbee I... go for the data logging feature.
From everyone talking to me about it including the info gathered on the build there's nothing that will compare to it.
If Laserbee would mass manufacture it and hold it at that price I'm sure he'd put the other LPM companies to drop their prices.  lol

esp after laserbee told you the drawbacks of the other LPM you are interested in.
