What i want is a package with a 16x dvd burner diode, a module thingy, a casing, and everything else i need. I already have soldering iron and a multimeter :)

If i cant get all this in one package, where can i get a good diode (for lighting matches), a good module (axiz-one?) and a lens (i guess i need a lens, or isn't that necesary? Do i need a ir filter to?)? How should i know what current to use? Can i just use a 9volt, put a potmeter in front, and just try till it will light matches? :)

Everyone who gives me a good answer will be given cake.

Is the Aixiz module with Sony 16x diode preinstalled for 26.50 any good?
And if im right, the Aixiz is a "cooler" + a lens, right? So i will just give that around 3v and 300mA (is that right), and everything will be good? I read that you have to limit the battery in some way. How? And again, do i need a IR-filter?

Edit: How much mW should i get from it when its done? It will light a match, right?

Sorry, im kinda slow, im only thirteen and english is not my mother language.. :p

So i should buy a Aixiz from that stonetek side with a 16x sony diode, have a pot, and then 2xAAA(3v)batteries? What strength should pot be if i want it to let the diode live :)p) but at the same time using the max out of it? Do i need anything more than potmeter?

How much would it cost for someone to build a simple powersupply (for the aixiz and sony16x)
for me? Im not very good at electronics, i can build it, but if i dont need to, i wont do it. :p
The only things i that are important for me about powersupply, is that is not too big (so i dont need a gigantic project box :p) and that it can runs from "normal" batteries. Again, also good if it does the best from the laser, and i still wonder how much output i should expect, if it will light matches and if i need a ir filter?

These will light matches easy, mine can light unsharpied matches if i screw the focus almost all the way off and the dot is really smal about 2 inch away, it lights fast to. These dont need an ir filter they dont put out any ir only green ones would put out ir because they have an ir diode pump that is shone thru a series of crystal that double it to about 1200nm then bring it down to 532nm (green) but the conversion isint perfect so it looses some power and some ir will come out to so thats why green lasers should have an ir filter

...lazer.... ;D ;D ;D

You could make a new post in here to buy one, or you could order some from BlueFusion.

His won't be shipped for atleast a few weeks, but will be small and high quality and cheap.

For my first DIY experiments, I just bought some cheap laser modules off dealextreme.com, so If I blow one I know what I did wrong and at least I didn't blow a more expensive $20+ one.
