You are going to have a really hard time finding a nicely built legal 90mW laser for that price.

This one is really well built, FDA approved, 80mW, and 150$.

I really don't think you will find a pen-sized laser over 80mW, besides the X series, which isn't approved.

This one is 100mW and 500$.

I would say settle for the 80mW, because handheld laser cost a LOT more than pen sized lasers. Plus that's the cheapest you will probably find on the internet that's legal.

EDIT: Sorry Icey! We posted at the same time. ::)

i figured it would be hard to find something like that for so little.  he has a 75mw green pointer from dragonlasers but apparently its not enough for him (i think its awesome).  i guess he wants to burn a lot of stuff.  to me it doesnt make a lot of sense to go up 15mw because it wont make a huge difference.  anyways, do you know of a good host that would fit that module?  i guess i could build it for him but ive never done it before so idk.  i also dont have a soldering iron, nor do i know how to solder (taking digital electronics next year, ill learn then).  so building may be out of the question.  im assuming he wants to sell his 75mw to buy this.

edit: what about this? http://www.o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=928

looks kinda (ok, very) cheap. my ledshoppe pointer looks very similar to this, and i dont think quality is too great, but for the price i got it for its totally worth it. but this seems risky considering its a lot more expensive, and a lot more powerful but is in a mediocre host.

O-like.com doesn't have the greatest reputation around on this site... It would be taking a risk. As for building one, it's near impossible to build a green laser. Few (if any), people have ever done so. It requires a high powered IR diode, perfectly alligned with very expensive crystals and 2 collimating lenses. DIY laser building is limited to diode lasers, which at the moment only includes blu-ray, red, and IR.

I'll sell you my 80mw with focusing ring, battery, and charger for $120. It's only a week old, I'm just looking to upgrade already.
