I am looking to get a 532nm lab style laser for a scanner project. Around 100mw will be sufficient, preferably with analog modulation.

Both of those look like good quality builds. I'm leaning toward the E-bay one b/c of cost, but I have some reservations considering it comes from China and I have had some poor quality products from them in the past. Shipping also takes forever. However, the Ultralasers model looks really good, so its almost a toss up.

Thanks for the review, based on that I think I'll try the e-bay module first considering this is my first scanner an I don't plan on going all out on it.

Could you post some pictures? If it doesn't have built in analog modulation, do you know if a flexmod could be swapped out for the existing driver?
