I am looking for a source of the low-wavelength batch(es) of the recent 505nm diode. I have a couple from DTR's batch (SB147EC91) which run at about 510nm, but would like to find a couple of the earlier ones floating around which ran lower. This would be -correct me if I'm wrong- the case positive SB1573N91 or the case neutral SB1473N91.

I see people on ebay claiming to be selling these particular diodes, but I don't trust that I won't get the more common 510nm batch. Also, I would like to find a source that would arrive quicker than a boat from China, if possible. DTR has me spoiled with his great service

So, if you have one of these diodes/modules and are willing to sell it, I would like to buy a couple from you. I'm also open to suggestions of reliable sources of this particular part number, though I realize it was a pretty much one-off run. When will we see more, new batches, I wonder?

I had no idea how popular these diodes would become when I was measuring them a couple weeks ago. You have all the correct information. I did have an extra one, but BowtieGuy beat you to it. I am unaware of a source for these diodes now. Sorry.

That's what I feared. I suppose it's possible that other people in the community have one they would be willing to sell. I'm basically putting a cash bounty on finding one. I'll have to negotiate it with whomever has it, because they will be at different levels of "attachment" to it.

Somewhere, out there...

I was looking into DTR's 505's but I wasn't too sure if they were <505 or not.
I'm quite interested as well if there is a reliable source of those N91's.

BBB, I might message Newgazer to make sure that every one of those diodes in his batch is either the SB1573N91's or SB1473N91's.
If they all are then brilliant and thanks for sharing.

Please post the answer from Newgazer. Would be really great if they are the <505nm ones.

I asked this question before I purchased and this is the response,

Cool, well I've asked him to specifically confirm that they are all SB1573N91's. That answer can be considered quite loose IMO as the others are still referred to as 505's as well.

I believe Existotem has them cheaper than Newgazer, even though they are the same company. I don't have that link at the moment, but shouldn't be that hard to find.

I don't think you are going to get a more specific answer than that from them but let's hope you do for everyone's sake!

Just yesterday you said you were unaware of a source for these diodes now,

Now Existotem has them cheaper wow!

Techood has them for $38.
Existotem. $36.50

I got one from Newgazer and Techhood and they were both the ~505nm diode version. I used the best offer on techhood and got it for $30. So if they will still accept that price they would be the cheapest. I can also confirm that both Newgazer and Techhood sent the diode in the identical way and with the same handwriting :D. Both were the SB1573N91 diode.

Nice, Matt. I didn't even think of recommending that as I thought they were running low on them. Wish I had known.

I grabbed one each from Existotem, Newgazer, and Techhood. Hopefully they are all legit and I will have some to choose from. I don't have a spectrometer to check them and put a number on it, but I have some of the SB147EC91's and diffraction gratings. I can look at the printed number on each, and will try binning them with the grating at least relative to each other and the ~510nm batch DTR offers.
