I'm looking for about five (5) heat sinks for the 501B.
Nothing fancy, no anodizing.
I've poked around some (LPF member) sites and don't see any for this host.

I can make them for you for $13ea. Just need the host for sizing, or the dimensions.

Did you ask Eudaimonium...?

Jim

Not, yet. I've got a design sketched on paper. But before I whip out a CAD drawing, and begin hunting for people to make it, I thought I'd check and see if someone was already selling these.

I am looking for the same thing. But, however, i need it in copper. Does anyone know where to get the 501b heatsinks in copper for 12mm modules?

I typically do not do copper as it will be quite expensive to get a piece of copper stock to make just 1 heatsink. Plus I much prefer to machine aluminum, and we have pretty much all the aluminum we need.

Pretty much the same. Coper will be better, but not noticeably so.

A 501B with aluminum heatsink I use 1min - 1min 15sec run time, you can start to feel it get pretty warm then. I havent use a copper heatsink and even though it might be better it is not going to be anything drastic.

Moh plans to make heat sinks for the 501B, but I think he indicated to me that it will be a little while, since he has several projects in the works, already.

So, if you want one or more heat sinks in the next month or two, you may need to look elsewhere.

I am still looking to buy about (5) 501B heat sinks. There are two designs floating around. A one-piece and a two-piece. Since copper seems to be scarce, I am interested in aluminum of either design.

Eudaimonium has both, the 2 pc one is for direct diode, and 1pc for module, both are aluminum $15 including shipping.

Have you confirmed this? I thought when we exchanged PMs a few months ago, he did not have them. He gave me some leads on LPM members that may have, or could make some. Hmm, maybe I wasn't looking for international shipping at that time. I feel a little software on that position, now. I may need to make contact Eudai one more time.
