I'm interested in buying/trading (my 445nm's or something, PM on what you'd want please, some lasers NFS/NFT) for a 445nm laser at 3W+ output (single diode please), preferably 18650('s) and focusable. Multiple modes and a decent duty cycle would be nice too :beer: thanks!

EDIT: "multiple modes" meaning multiple output modes, not a literally multi-mode laser diode :p although I know these 445nm LD's are multimode, not what I mean in this case :D

Hey there!

Rick Trent is a guy who can handle your 445 in a 3w package. I would check with him personally....I believe you can still get a 3watt for under 280 shipped.

Run times are easily 60 on 30 off + they are 4 and 5 mode. I really like his lasers. :)

I too can be of assistance with a 3w+ 445nm laser. Currently I am using multi mode drivers, 100%, 50%, 5% and strobe.
I have 2 MX900 hosts with custom heatsinks by Mrcrouse. Basically the same as Ricks just a longer duty cycle, and personally I think they also look better.

As you can see I also have a few of Ricks lasers and they too are are very good with 3w+ on the output.

Kinda makes my Big Boy look a little plain....and you do have some sweet builds. Maybe one day if I keep working at it I could build something close.

Yes your MX's are better looking with Mcrouse's heatsinks.

Did Rick raise his 3 watt units as well?? I thought the 3.5 was the more expensive

I know you and I and many that took the chance on Ricks units were lucky to get them at that price. I have to watch pricing as I blew my laser wad already for this year :(

Out of curiosity, do you have an old arctic without a smartswitch?

No I do not, at the time I was curious about their SS so I opted for their "G2" version. I'm sure there are a couple LPF'ers here who do though
