Just had a terrific 445nm build by ApexProxy last week, and am looking to get even more colors to add to my collection.

This time around I'm looking to add a violet laser to my collection due to it's good beam specs. Doesn't have to be super powerful, but if it's a good burner that's just dandy.

What options are available for under $100?

Well, I'm looking for something more custom than a pen laser. I've decided that since I like ApexProxy's 445nm so much that I want a bit of power in a 405nm. Not sure what a $100 or less budget could get me though.

Look at this thread. The Ebay 405nm pens are usually 100mW and they are cheap too.

http://laserpointerforums.com/f46/4-35-405nm-ebay-pen-super-overspect-must-see-77135.html

just bought 2 from the guy listed there. 405nm and a 532nm.
when the package came, it had 2 pens listed on it, but only the 405 was inside it. Messaged seller and he hasnt answered yet. The 405nm had a 50mw label on it. i have no way of telling but if i where to guess imona say around 60mw. Also the beam divergence is horrible. The smallest i found the beam to be was about 7 maybe 8mm

Lazere has a 405nm 100mw though. They are usually overspec too :)
Click here for the laser :)
