Has anyone found a source for the switch spacers for the Kryton Smooth barrels?
I need four of them

17mm OD x 10mm ID x 4.8mm tall

If no one has them, maybe someone can machine them for me?

Peace,
dave

The plastic ones? I have one, are you sure those are the exact measurements? I'd need to measure mine but doesnt seem right to me?

Yes. The ones made for the Grooves were plastic
The spacers in the original Smooths were aluminum

It looks like the OD is actually 17.2mm, but it can be a little smaller without any problems.
Too wide would cause a problem as would too tall.
However, under size would be a bit more forgiving in this application

Are you offering your one up as a sacrifice?

Maybe we should see if others have any "extra" parts for the Kryton too.
I've got one extra focus ring

Peace,
dave

If they can be made of plastic it would be super easy to print. If you can't find any let me know and I'll print you some.

I cant offer mine up as a sacrifice yet. I have a full kit that someone is interested in buying. Might be worth taking it down the home depot and seeing if any PVC piping is the same or similar dimensions

I imagine it would depend on whether the plastic softens at a low temperature.
I have zero experience with 3-D printing :yabbem:
The tail cap and switch shouldn't get really hot, but the switch will get warm ;)

If it is part of a kit, then it ins't "extra"
Keep it with your kit ;)

dave

It's ABS plastic - the same thing Lego bricks are made out of. Doesn't really start to soften until 160C :)

If you (and daguin, of course) want, I can see if I can find some time to print a couple of these off...could do ABS or PLA, and shipping would cost a fraction of what ARG's would cost (what with him using Moose Mail, that is)

I need four, for the barrels that I have on hand.

Peace,
