So...I have a coleman cr2 host and I love it because its small. I also have a kryton groove and I love it because it looks awesome...but its just a little bulky...so I've come up with an awesome idea...a mini kryton groove...I want it to look and function the same...just smaller! Who could design and machine one or some for me? And who else would buy one!

well im talking to eghmus currently about making one ~13/16" or 3/4" diameter by around 5.5" long for 2 CR123's because the cr2's cant handle as much current

:thinking:wonder if the driver will be able to handle RCR123a batteries as they put out 3.7 volts

while the cr123 only kick out 3.0 volts

I use the same batteries for my mini 445nm 900mW laser
as well in a few flashlights
hope it would be able to run on the AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Battery
:friend:I too buy all my batteries from lighthound
p.s. there gitd rope is so really fun

kryton and groove are kenoms. i dont think it is right to be talking about making his products with his names.

I do not know how much the custom "smaller" host would be. However, since you have moved up to the CR123 size battery, you can use two CR123 batteries in the Kryton Groove with just the addition of a simple sleeve in the battery compartment.

I have built several of these using the JIB77 driver

You will have to weigh the extra cost of a custom host against the reduction in diameter

Peace,

That's exactly what I was about to say as well, Dave. :yh:
