Looking for a linear driver around 1A for a 500mW mit. If it were for myself, I'd just build my own, but I'd rather use a professionally backed driver as this is a laser for a client.

Re: WTB> Iron 4D 1050mA

Free bump
Are you looking for that specific driver because of its size?
You can't use a homemade 3xAMC driver (1050mA output)?

Good luck...

Re: WTB> Iron 4D 1050mA

I want it for the size, although I just remembered they are single cell drivers. Not I am looking for a linear 1A driver.

It's for a client of mine, so I'd rather use a professionally backed driver.

Just saw this. If you still need it I'll mail you an iron4D 1050ma. $10.

I'm sure I have the resistors to build you a 1A Mohgasm linear if Ben cannot help you out. Let me know, BP.

I could probably use the Iron4D and a spacer.

Only issue is heatsinking.

SBA, what's your quote for the Mohgasm?

Dude, it didn't cost me much. I just have to build it. How's about $10? I have one now @ 945mA. I could let you have it for say, $7 shipped.

Oh if you have a two battery host you really should go for a buck. On the mohgasm the entire second battery will go straight to heat! You would get over 2x runtime with a buck.

I'm just going to get the iron4D. They're probably my second favorite driver.

Sorry SBA :p

It's all good. I was just trying to help. I'm glad you have a more efficient option.
Good luck with the build.

Would've recommended the BlitzLinear, but you already made up your mind!

Reliable? Problems getting them? o.o They are available from AnthoT's site, and each one is tested for functionality. I haven't received any complaints about functionality before.

I wonder how well the pots are tested. Sure, the driver functions. Adjustable? Not so much. A lack of any support doesn't make them an ideal option, nor is having to pay for another to replace it.

Lack of support? I'm always here! I try to support my drivers as well as I can. If you had a problem with the pots, shoulda just PMed me! I would have replaced the pot (if broken) with a resistor of your choosing =p

I did just that, on August 6, with problems on 2 different Blitz drivers. I never got a response back.
