Oh no no no, don't mess with that, I don't build these lenses, I buy them from members, and that is how the g-1 functions, it has worse beam characteristics, as if it comes in and outta focus, seems like the lens is wobbling inside, that's just how the lens is, seems like it has wings on the sides of the dot that look like they flap haha

Oh alright, I guess I should leave it at that. First I was thinking of what CNI has done with their units in the past, putting a very small quantity of thermal putty type substance, between the lens and its housing so that it stays still, much like the benz logo, only with the lens in the middle and without the thermal bits joining in the center of the lens. But if you say that it should stay that way, and I should ignore the wobbling, then I shall do so. Though I am certian the lens is wobbling, and not the fact that It "seems" to be so, as when I tap the small lens housing I can certainly hear the lens constantly moving.

Well, that's the only g-1 lens I have ever had, so maybe it is wobbling, I wouldn't be the one to be able to determine that, As i have never had another g-1 to compare it to. Although I have never dropped the lens and it has been in perfect condition since I bought it, so maybe it got messed up during transit, all in all aixiz 445 glass is much better beam characteristics anyways, 405-g-1 lens is just for maximum power and burning! mwahaha

I don't think it should have any woble in the lens. Is the lens-securing nut loose? Can it be tightened>?

Well it ain't a biggie anyways, besides, it still does it's job and I doubt that it was messed up in the transit lol. Especially with you PHENOMENAL packaging :)

Yeah, that's my first thought too, though I have tried turning the securing nut to no avail. Seems like the nut was fixed right in place. Any clues on turning it?

He said that as a joke, saying like "haha, I was upset(joking) because jakeGT packaged the dang thing so good and it took so long to actually get to the laser because of the PHENOMENAL packaging "
haha

Jake this is nothing less than what all of us would like to receive our stuff like. Good job man;)!!

May i suggest that you, next time, look at lasers offered by Vets here(1000+posts) Most have been here a while and will be here for the long run. Jake is a good guy- he will help you work out the lens issue.
Good to see that laser safety is something you take seriously. And I compliment you on your English.

sending you a welcome rep. IMO CPF's loss-is LPF's gain.
regards--

Your message is so wrong on many levels :

- You need 20 posts to post a sale thread.
- no pictures of the laser with your name
- how do you know the output of 1.5-1.8W ?
- how do you know the wavelength ?
- no specific about the laser, batteries

You are just a spammer.
