WTB: ~100mw 532nm Module or Laser

Hi,

I'm looking for a green laser to be used on a telescope for sighting. Preferably a stable module with low divergence. I'll buy either a full laser, if I like the host, or just the module. Either way, I'll be implementing the module into my own host designed for his telescope.

Post pics or prices if interested.

Thanks. Anyone else tried that module?

How's the beam profile?

They're sold out. :/

Plus ideally I need the module sooner than later. Customer has a deadline for his build, and I'd like to get it done as soon as possible. So hopefully I can find someone that will sell me a module in the USA.

very good! one of the better module's I've came across so far. Pman also had the 5mW fasttech modules have been doing 80mW+

Ya, I'd like it to be at least 100mw though. Guy is putting it on his telescope for sighting for an audience watching from about 30ft or so away, so I want to make sure the beam is nice and bright for them to see it.

Want to sell me that WallBuys module? :)

Re: WTB: 100-200mw 532nm Module or Laser

 I would but that's the freak module of all freak module's that I know about!

but I've had a lot of the fasttech modules and they are extremely visible. Pman might even have one or two laying around that he can guarantee the output with his Ophir LPM.

what about a single mode 450nm diode?

It's best to just go green. 100mw of 532nm = 1200mw of 450nm in relative beam brightness.

And you think 80mw will be sufficient? I need to be sure that it'll be sufficiently visible for the audience.

I would pm Pman like I said he might have a couple laying around and he would be a bit fast on shipping time then fasttech.

I have a few fasttech modules as well, and an Ophir. I'll meter them and post the results in a bit.

EDIT: I got a 30mW, a 40mW a 50mW, and a 65mW. Probably not enough for what you need it for...

I am considering selling my Laserglow Aries, its very stable and has great divergence and runs about 150-180mW ish last i checked, (my LPM is broken, gonna get a new laserbee soon as i have money) and it has the 10x beam expander so it can travel really quite far, but its not a cheap laser by any means & I don't imagine you're looking for a lab quality laser for your telescope.

I would just hate to dissect a Laserglow laser. Seems like a waste. I think he may actually have an Aries too actually. Plus we're trying to keep the price reasonably low. Probably about $50-$75 tops for the module ideally.

If the beam is TOO bright it might impact the audiences ability to see what ever he's pointing it at.

He actually has a screen to show them the view from the scope. The laser is to show them where in the sky it is located. Pretty sweet setup he has.

yes i agree, though i did misread your intention. I actually hand align green DPSS crystals now and then, but not small scale...if i need a small one i tend to strip them out of a cheap pointer and then reuse the module with my own driver and diode. good luck
