Oops, forgot to ask. I asked him about the temps and duty cycle. When he answers (probably tomorrow) I'll add the length question. Again sorry for forgetting about it.

Re: Wicked Lasers Clearance Sale!

AFAIK it's only for LPF. I have asked him if I should post the same deal on LC but I didn't get an answer to that.

May I ask why do you ask? :p

Thanks, Niko.

I was just curious because I wanted to know how fast these things would go.
If if it was offered other places other than here, then I have less time to get in on this. LOL.

Re: Wicked Lasers Clearance Sale!

Your pathetic havent you heard of freedom of speach, the right to bear arms, where I live out in the country if I call a cop it will be 30 min min till they get here and thats on a good day it could take two hours if they are tied up. do you know how hard it would have been to open up this country if we didn't have guns at our sides ! I enjoy the hell out of going out and blasting targets and other things and you want to take that away, tisk tisk I don't think so !
you think it's too easy now to buy a gun get a clue if we as citizins couldn't get guns they would still be avable to criminals you can bet through under ground means, get a clue, get a gun !
Have a good day ;)
Pyro...

Lets put it this way, do you want to be put at risk when your plane is landing because some idiot bought a laser on eBay and is trying it out on the cockpit? It is not temporary safety, it is because there is no reason you should have a laser pointer which can easily blind people, the damage it can do it a lot worse then the benefits of it. There is a reason you are not allowed to carry guns on airplanes, not because of temporary security, but because there is absolutely no use at all for them besides things that would be harmful to other people.

I think it is good that it is very difficult to get guns, it makes it so there are less of them out there. In the US, you can go get a gun at a gun show and there is no record of it, that is a serious problem, it should be more difficult to get a gun then it currently is.

Carried it on my person while being in San Francisco (concealed...although I probably would have been shot and killed if it weren't so there is really only one way to carry one if you feel like exercising the right to arm yourself) ......Sorry Niko

I know a guy who unloaded his 1911 into the car of some men who robbed his house in california, and he broke the driver's arm. He had his guns taken for 3 years for "excessive force" and some other BS charge. The robbers tried to kill him with a baseball bat, but apparently the soccer moms they put on jury can't understand the concept of sticking up for yourself. This is laser-related because he had a 5mW green laser attached to the trigger guard.

Also, I would like to know the width of all the parts of this laser if possible. But I guess I can just wait until that review.

Re: Wicked Lasers Clearance Sale!

Okay, I got an answer from Steve:

The PD has a 100% duty cycle and its operating temperatures range from 5°C to 35°C

That temp rating seems kind of poor.... But OK I guess. and our annoying discussion does keep this thread at the top, right?

The range is probably of outside temperature, 5°C is very hard to achieve here in Argentina, 35°C too, only in summer.

What you said about the discussion is not right and you know it. Don't make me explain what you already know, please.

Up here, the temp gets well below -10ºC sometimes. Although I am moving to texas soon.... Do we know anything about power consumption or battery life?

Power consumption should be about the same as the Evo pros. I would guesstimate about 550-600mA to the pump diode.
With good AA rechargeable batteries it should last a good long time.
WL's specs for the Evo pro are <700mA power consumption.

D cells.
And yes, I am sure it is. I think all Techlasers' lasers are filtered.
