Well, I bought an open box 12X burner from newegg. I harvested the diode and pressed it into a module. When I tested it I realized the window had a hairline crack. I am not sure if it came like that or if I did that. This diodes are very easy to extract so I was pretty upset about this. This was about a month ago. This is not noticeable unless you unfocus the laser to gigantic blur, you can then see a distinct cut off of about 10% of the upper right corner of the light. I was just going to keep it and I have been using it as my personal laser but have now decided to sell it at discount. The spot is perfect (aside from the expected scatter from the 405-G-1 lens) The output holds steady at 530mW and is driven at 440mA. The driver is a Rkcstr. This laser runs on 3 10440 rechargeables (included). It has about 4 hours of use on it. I have been using it heavily to make sure there is no degradation. This laser is functionally perfect.
