Hello all. I know I am new here but I stumbled across this site in my google searches. I bought a white Nintendo DSi for my son for Christmas. It turns out his grandmother already bought one for him. Unfortunately I do not have the receipt for the DSi I bought him. I was wondering if someone would be willing to trade me for a green laser pointer? Preferably of the same value around $180.00. Now I have done some searching on the internet for lasers and I can buy one for around $40 from budget gadgets. Well I just wanted to offer the trade to someone who might want to get their kid a Christmas gift. If anyone is interested please let me know and I know people are sceptical of new members. That's why I am willing to ship FIRST to a respectable member. Thanks.

Well the name, I actually got from the Rob Zombie film. Which is a great movie by the way for those who haven't seen it. Anyways about the DSi. I do not have any games for it. I am looking for a decent green laser that can pop balloons and such. Since the DSi is untouched in its original packaging, I was hoping to get a good deal. I was just curious but about the laser you really really need to have a pair of laser safety goggles before you even get a laser. Green lasers are more visible but violet lasers burn better. If you want to burn things I would recommend a violet laser.

Again I would recommend tagged photos- i.e. photos with the tag LPF, date, time and your username on it.

If you would want a violet, I'd trade one with a pair of protection goggles, but I'm not sure yet which I'd trade. If you want a green that could just pop a black balloon, then I'd trade one w/ a pair of protection goggles, but if u want one that could also burn a match and/or burn electrical tape, then I can't trade a green but could trade a violet. Overall, I think you'll have more fun with a green, because burning things gets boring after a while, but seeing a beam when pointing to stars never gets old.

He said he'd be willing to ship it first, so what's not to trust? I've been screwed before by a new member, that was my fault. If he's shipping first, there's no problem.

I agree about shipping first. Trust is everything. Especially on the internet. I am new here and have to start somewhere, which is why I am willing to ship first. I would take some photos as I do have a digital camera, but my SD card reader is shot. About the lasers you have. Ultimately I was going to build a 405nm blu ray burning laser. I mean the components are fairly cheap which is great. Could you send me some photos of the lasers you are willing to trade? I have had green burning ones before, but never blu ray ones. Well let me know and thanks.

So you're interested in blu-ray or green? because I don't have any green that could light a match or "burn" things, only pop a balloon. If you want blu-ray, I have a few options, but I was maybe going to offer a blu-ray and a small green if you'd want, including protection goggles which would work for both.

Well after discussing things with another member, he decided not to trade because one of the lasers in question was broken. Anyways, this Nintendo DSi is still up for trade. I was hoping to get maybe a DIY bluray burner and maybe a cheaper green laser. Just as long as I get a somewhat fair trade. The DSi sells for $169.99 brand new. Again it is brand new never been opened. Please someone make an offer to me. I know all you laser nuts have a ton of lasers, I have seen the show off your collection thread. I'm jealous. Well okay someone please let me know. Thanks.
