Hey all,
I'm working on a project with the goal of retrofitting the Laser 303 such that it becomes a viable DIY laser host. To do this, I need to develop a set of tools specific to this host, and then modify or replace parts as needed.
YOU can help me with this - by donating or selling your old, dead, or dying Laser 303's to this project. Everything that comes out of the project - information about the host, specifications for tools and custom parts, everything - will be posted here on LPF.
I want to acquire a lot of Laser 303's - ideally a couple dozen hosts. The lasers themselves do not need to work - they can be dead, LED, or whatever. All I'm interested in are the hosts.
Things I'm not worried about:
- as mentioned, if the laser is dead/LED, that is fine.
- if the host has worn anodizing, or scratches, or is generally banged up, that is fine.
- if the lens is damaged, that is fine.
- wavelength/direct diode/DPSS - all these are fine.
Note that I'm looking only for Laser 303's right now - *not* the Laser 301. The 301 is very similar, but is a bit more problematic, and I will handle that at a later time. The 303 will generally have some form of "303" written on the host - Laser 303, SD-303, SDLaser 303, GD-303, HY 303, V-303, etc. Although, some may not have writing on them at all.
If you have a Laser 303 you would like to get rid of, please shoot me a PM and we can work out a deal. I am happy to pay the cost of shipping, plus whatever extra amount you feel is appropriate, in order to acquire these hosts.
I have to limit this to USA only at this time - international shipping costs too much. Also, the shipping address is a PO box, which means USPS is best... first class is fine.
Please consider donating or selling your Laser 303's to me - I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to rework the Laser 303 into something worthy of your respect. Again, if you'd like to get rid of your broken 303's, please PM me and I would be happy to make a deal
