*it's a dental tube, so it can handle 7mA runs at a duty cycle.

Transformer === SOLD

Re: FS: Everythig to make an x-ray machine

I'm a Radiology technician and I loled about that tube :)
That looks like a machine from back in 1920
The lead shield won't be easy to make as well as the aperture
Also it has no cooling so how many A can you set it or how long will be an exposure for a hand? (50kV 3.2A)

These are parts, not an assembled machine. The tube must be submerged in oil obviously. It's a tube from the 80's and it works. It has little use, and i'm selling all this because i took apart my x-ray machine. I never ended up using the last roll of lead.

How will the aperture be hard to make? It's simply a tube of lead with a hole.

Tube specs for continuous usage are 75kVp at 3mA. It can be run shortly at around a kilowatt though, as it was originally meant to be used in an ss-white dental head.

Why would you expose you're hand without a medical reason to? That's just plain stupid.

also, if you don't believe the tube works, http://www.youtube.com/v/HSh1rjLgE-A

Look I didn't wanted to be mean... Hope you can sell it
I just asked myself what kind of x-ray that is and for what it can be used as we (in the hospital) only have X-rays with a round and turning anode (I don't know the word in english) and as you know the anode is the actual heatsink of a (conventional -non high powered-) X-ray.
So I assumed this is a kinda old mashine
Normally you have an aperture with adjustable collimation, so that why I thought this ain't easy.
And of cource it's stupid to be in ionising radiation without a reason I just took the hand exposure as an example 50kV 3.2mA of course ;)

Don"t you remember when shoes seller used x-ray scanner back in 1900"s and years later there was tons cancer?

I never told anyone to x-ray themselves.

Re: FS or Trade: Everythig to make an x-ray machine

I may trade for a multiline argon, depending on the power. I also lowered the price to $400. Won't go any lower than that.

It said the video was removed.

You dont know how bad I want this thing. I cant even come close to the asking price. :cryyy:

Re: FS or Trade: Everythig to make an x-ray machine

All I have is pointers, diodes and a couple of 120mW modules.

I'll PM you a list if you wish. If not, thats cool too.
