Ok here's a pic of all the optics. they're all in lasing condition and are removed from a misaligned 589 handheld system. This isn't an easy project. you'll have to come up with custom copper mounting for each part, and they're all fairly fragile. I just cleaned all of them, but based on the optic box not being vacuum sealed there is inevitably going to be some dust no matter what. Thankfully these are not moisture sensitive, but I'd still reccommend not opening it until you're ready to use them, as well as in a very thoroughly filtered room. Don't handle them with your hands either. Use only tweezers, preferrably with padded/carbon soft tips. Original pump diode is a 500mW C-mount @ 808nm if I recall correctly. should be able to pump it with up to around 3W of 808 to get around 50-100mW of 588.6nm if you do it perfectly, and they're all well heat-sinked. maybe try putting them into a custom TEC controlled environment?
Also to those of you awaiting shipping, I finally got more shipping supplies yesterday (thought I had some and turns out I didn't) so I will try to make a trip to the post office before I go to work on Monday. My goal is to have everything out Monday at around noon. :tinfoil:
no problem. I've picked up over double my normal work hours this week, since we're still down a few people (but training a few new ones finally) and one person went out for vacation this week. so its the classic "YAY big paycheck, boo lots of extra work to do" scenario. so I'll try not to go quiet, but If I do for some reason, don't fret. i'm likely just busy.
