Default Trashed thread- Hopefully the last flame war

EDIT:

...info on the laser for sale is deleted due to Senkat's destruction of the thread.

Warning to anyone who reads this, it isn't worth your time. It is a senseless flame war, and has no place on this forum.

In the near future, when this is settled, I'll post my laser for sale in a new thread, since it is a very nice laser.

Good luck selling anything, fuckwad. Remember me ? Yeah...the guy who saved all your threatening little emails. What an asswipe - the world really would have been much better off (at least this forum) if you had continued posting under your false alias, and not gotten away with lying to c0lshadow. *sigh* FIRE 'EM UP !

looks like a very nice laser. did you make that heat sink?? where did you get it?

Also, I really like your picture "Diode pressed into module/heasink"

The little tubing on the ends make it look nice. do the 2 wires wrap around each other when you twist the module in though?

.. just curious.

good luck,
Kendall

You mean the uh, heat shrink tubing on the connection to the diode?

It protects the connections and prevents short circuits. If you do a lot of electronics, doing that kind of thing for connections should be a standard

EDIT: I state below that I won't waste my time typing to or about Senkat's statements. But, I feel some of this deserves an explanation, especially to let those interested that it has no bearing on the sale.

Senkat.. I am not going there and being as low as you. This will be the last time I waste my typing on you, so go ahead and waste your time and keep going.. LOL. I will not fall victim to your rantings again. Do I spam your for sale threads with BS, NO I don't. The only reason I haven't bothered to turn you in for harassment of minors online, as I stated in those emails AFTER you called me a loser, etc. in them(I was friendly at first until you did that), is that doing so would bring trouble to this forum and therefore cOldshadow.

Please do not turn this thread into a flame war. I am trying to sell a nice build to whoever is interested in a nice bluray laser, not fill the forum with another bunch of BS. :

But anyhow, back to productive posting instead of wasting my time...

Sk8ter- Thanks *The heatsink is made by a local machine shop. I had asked them to drill and tap a hole for a set screw to hold the module(and will make sure they do for any future heatsinks they make for me), but instead they chose to make it a press-fit design. It worked out well, though, since I was able to press the module in first before the diode.

Your question about the wires is a good one. I should have been more specific in my description. The design of the host prevents the heatsink from being held in by threading on the head. Therefore, the head is threaded down, then the heatsink is set in. I carefully coiled the wires in(no twisting) as I set the heatsink into place. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] The heatsink is held into the head by its snug fit and a touch of arctic silver thermal epoxy. I also am thinking I should put a drop or two of epoxy on the head's threads to prevent it from coming loose, as twisting the wires is not a good thing.

If in the event the laser needs serviced, the head could still be removed using simple tools, and by lightly pressing the heatsink out of the head.

: There is nothing to laugh about here. For those of you who haven't seen the post I made about my past history on this subject(It was deleted along with many other posts in one of AMK's GB threads because Senkat started a flame war in it)...

I have a 10-yr old daughter that was in a gaming forum. She simply shared her tips and tricks, and experiences with other kids in the forum. One day, this guy jumped into her thread, and tried to tell her that her tip was impossible. She went on to explain exactly what she did in her game. The "guy" went on to start calling her a liar, along with a bunch of other colorful names, insulting her in any way he could, no matter how many times she asked him to but out, and other members came to her side to support her. He simply wouldn't stop, and continued his senseless onslaught. He also had the familiar attitude of "I can say what I want and nobody is going to stop me" :

She finally came to me crying on the second day of his onslaught. I reported him to the foum, and did a search for his username online. Once I managed to find his real name and location, I reported the incident to the PA State Police. To make the rest of a long story short, the guy was found guilty of harassment of minors online(my daughter was not the only victim), and defamation of character. He is now serving probation, and has lost his "privilege" of being online at all, along with the associated $$ fines.

I have a soft spot(sarcasm), so to speak for people like him. Any of the members with children here would probably agree that their kids do not need to be subjected to such harassment.

Anyhow.. I have learned a lesson from all this myself, here on this forum, which is to not bother with the flame wars. So, on that note, can we please get back on topic here? I have a nice laser here for sale, and that is the purpose of this thread

perhaps Glaser could use a middle man? if you really want the laser, I think that would be a good way to do it if you don't trust him. I've got a meter and could measure it for you 2 if ya'll want....

I hate how you always when flaming people doesn't explain anything in details, you just say something like "I don't like him,so you shouldn't buy from him",if you bother enough to post bad things about someone in any thread, make sure you show the proof to see whether we agree with you or not.

It is a shame that I may just miss out on a sale because of Senkat's usual "I am Mr. Great and you Suck" attitude. I have sold on here once before, and the customer is very happy with his laser. You should read the "life story".. it tells alot about the way Senkat really is. He hides behind this curtain of "Mr. Helpful great guy", and has a lot of pull around here. Unfortunately, he also abuses his "power" to degrade anyone he chooses(and expects us to just take it and be quiet: )

I'll say this about myself. Whether it be lasers, projectors, computer work, or whatever paid favors I do for people, I always try to go the extra mile to keep my customers happy. Here on the forum, I could have just whipped together whatever I could and sold it, but I waited until I slowly built up the parts to make a quality laser before selling. Even my Box-Style that I sold had much attention and detail given to the internals Whomever buys this laser will have no regrets

I am not new, especially to the electronics business. I have been working with computers and most other electronics since 1979, when I was 6 years old

I'd go with the middle-man deal, as I'd like to know the real ouput of my laser anyhow. Only thing I can see is possibly increased shipping costs, and maybe if Sk8ter or whever else the buyer chooses wants a buck or two for their efforts.

Toked... What about when he starts the BS.. :-/? I am only trying to sell a very nice bluray here.....

I have no desire to start a war with anyone on this forum, including Senkat. If he'd just shut up to me, I'd leave him alone. It is just a major shame that he had to but his nose into this thread, and make my sale more difficult. I could give a hoot if he likes me or not, until he causes me trouble. Now I have a possbily ruined sale(hopefully not more of them because of all this), just because Mr. high and mighty had to poke his nose in where it doesn't belong. He has No evidence whatsoever that my customer(s) will not be satisfied with my products or services, and has no interest in the laser whatsoever, so has no business being in this thread.

This is almost exactly what happened to AMK's GB thread.....

For anyone genuinely interested in this "beasty" blu-ray, please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I will be happy to answer them

Cool Good enough. The story behind Senkat's anger relates to nothing that will have any effect on this sale, and what I wrote above doesn't really either, so I won't go on to tell the whole tale. :-X
