Which version and colors? It appears you were selling an original model and a newer (slimmer?) model. I don't see any pics of the newer model. I definitely want one! It might take a month or so though. The wife has a hold on putting more money into paypal for laser purchases for at least a month . I just ordered the diode presses from flamingpyro. I only have $45 in the paypal left thanks to this forum! What do you think the divergence is on these?

they are focusable. The only host I've currently got in stock right this minute is a grey original. with a red LOC it will do 120mw with 2 button cells. A PHR will do 80mw, on 4 buttons.

Grey as in aluminum correct (not painted grey)? I would prefer a bare aluminum grey color actually. As for the actual laser I would want red. The main sticky point is that I would like to use the rechargeable battery that others have hinted at using. Going through button cells is not something I would want to do.
A few questions that I have if you have time to answer them... Do you think keeping the on time to 3 to 4 seconds is less than most people and that might help it last longer on a rechargeable? Are there any that have survived on the rechargeable battery? How hard is this to disassemble for someone new to building just in case the diode needs to be replaced?

it eats through those batteries in a quick hurry. I was carrying mine around and turning it on 2-3 times a day for 20-30 seconds each time and would replace the batteries weekly.
No it's not bare aluminum. It's anodized grey. I imagine if you had the time and energy you could sand it down through the anodized layer to the aluminum. However considering it's knurled, it will take some time.
that has to be a lower runtime than most people use. I myself, used about 30 seconds on. Obviously the less time you use it the longer the batteries are going to last. I know that daguin uses his all teh time and he's using the 10180 battery. The laser is incredibly easy to dissasemble.

The "run time" on this is a variable number. Since it is directly driven by the battery, it is easy to see when the battery is getting lower. I recharge it when I see the output dropping. I have never run the batery all the way down.
All that being said, I run a Long Closed Can in mine. It puts out >300mW with a freshly charged 10180. At 300mW, the LCC should be pulling <450mA! The "working" run time can be measured in minutes, not hours.
However, it is still the biggest "surprise" for others. Seeing 300mW of burning red laser light coming out of such a small host is REALLY impressive.
