Just got mine today, it's pretty bright, I have an LPM at work, I'll have to test it later.... Thanks Swim!

Its all good, mine came in today.

EDIT:
wow it doesn't even get my skin warm, and the the beam is barely visible in the dark.
I was hoping it would at least be able to cut electrical tape.
Oh well I guess, my 1w 445nm will have to do for now :/

Well, the LPM I used said it peaked at 56 mW (initially) and then stabilized and 47mW.... I was expecting more, maybe the batteries have a high resistance... Maybe I could try a different brand battery. I used a new set of Energizer AAA cells... Are you guys using rechargables or anything special?

You guys realize that I do have a satisfaction policy that if the laser is really under par that you can send it back for a replacement/refund!

Oh also I've found that new Duracells often hold the best results power-wise (at least for me).

I have some duracels I will have to try... I'm actually ok with my laser's current output...Wish it was brighter, but I'll live with it. But if you ever sell overspec blues (445nm) I would hope to be more lucky ;)

Just curious, if we were to sent it back, how would we be sure to get a more powerful one? Would you make sure a strong one goes out?

Not a problem :p

Usually what I do in that case is I'll take a handful of lasers and pick the highest of the bunch.

Personally I find one 10440 and one spacer to work a little bit better with these pens.

Although out of the super overspec... results seem a tad on the low side again:whistle:

Yeah they definitely do actually.. I'll retest a handful of them and see what I get. It could just be bad luck but I'll check again just in case!

mine starts bright and fades quickly less than 1-2 seconds, then it stays on steady. I noticed if you take the batteries out and put them back in, it gets really bright again and stays bright. Does anyone think some dielectric grease could help?

SacredTanakh, these are not burning lasers.
You'll need more power to cut electrical tape.

I know these are not "burning lasers"... but I read in the comments that people have got ones that have been powerful enough to burn through plastic. My luck was just not the best I guess. Anyways I'm not new to lasers, I know my way around. although I am new to being a member of these forums, so thanks but no thanks. ;)

mine the beam is pretty much invisible and doesn't get plastic even warm, so I'm guessing its about 15-25mw. which is annoying since I payed for the super overspec. :/
Ill probably buy 2 more at some point and see if my luck is any better.
