Got mine today, it's fantastic! (After paying the extortionate import tax that couriers like to do).
I didn't buy the goggles and I really wish I did, going to buy some asap (it really is that bright of a laser).
Anyway, off to burn things!
I just noticed this somehow. Folks please don't do this! You really, really, really need goggles to burn stuff with this laser! Sky shots are one thing, but staring at that dot at >1watt is simply insane!

Get goggles with this one. Blue is one of the most dangerous colors for your eyes and the wattage these put out is a FIRE hazard. It can light things on fire, and that includes your eyes!

Im already half def due to a rare form of cancer only 10% of the US gets and only 1% needs surgery to remove the ear drum and cyst. Id rather not be half def and blind. Safety glasses were the first thing i purchased, even before i got my laser. They are not the cool looking ones by no means, but better safe than sorry. Im just hoping a blue laser is easier to see with the safety glasses. With my green laser all i see is a tiny dot with them on.
