Neon sign transformers, center tapped, no sGFI (you can arc them all day, perfect for TC's and jacob's ladders)

4X 4,000V 30mA
4X 5,000V 30mA
2X 6,000V 30mA
2X 7,500V 30mA
3X 9,000V 30mA

$45 each. Shipping is only $12 via US post, two can fit in a box.

Also have this stuff that can go:

Box of thorium nitrate. This stuff is hot, and hard to get. I'd like to trade for radium things, maybe a bag of watch hands or a vial of paint. Otherwise, $80. http://i.imgur.com/cm7ZDh.jpg

CD drives, a whole bunch of them. Stepper Motors, magnet wire, motor drivers and hall effect sensors inside (magnetic levitator?). FREE http://i.imgur.com/E4FUeh.jpg

Re: Stuff for sale

I like that Tesla secondary you have there :)

Re: Stuff for sale

Interested in one neon sign transformer (probably 9000v, 60ma), and perhaps one or two 10cm focal length lenses.

Thanks,

AAlasers

Re: Stuff for sale

Some really good stuff here. Wish I could take one of everything. :)

Re: Stuff for sale

Heh, the secondary isn't going anywhere... yet.

I'm just cleaning house because I know I'll never use these parts, and electronics has become fairly boring lately. Maybe it's just the winter laziness... I dunno.

@AAlasers, I'm keeping the 60mA ones, but the 30mA ones can go. As for the lenses, $18 takes 2.

Added more stuff for sale too.

Re: Stuff for sale

I'll take the 9000V 30mA NST and the unfinished plasma speakers!

Gren is cleaning his basement.

RF Doorknob caps for VTTCs. 780pF @ 30kV, $13 each, retail elsewhere for $30 http://i.imgur.com/vMO0zh.jpg

6mm thick lead x-ray shield. I'll be dammed if stray rays get through this. $10 http://i.imgur.com/MapG8h.jpg

30 amp 24v pwm motor speed controller. A potentiometer varies the speed $5 - http://i.imgur.com/pK7y8.jpg

Neon sign transformers, no GFI. Price varies, but I have a whole range of voltages. http://i.imgur.com/zHHgQ.jpg

4X 4,000V 30mA
4X 5,000V 30mA
2X 6,000V 30mA
3X 7,500V 30mA
3X 9,000V 30mA

Big ol' convex glass lenses 10cm focal length. (about f/1.0) AR coated. Perfect for a huge laser beam expander or macro cameras. $5 each. http://i.imgur.com/sJGaDh.jpg

Partially assembled heathkit OL1 Scope. The CRT tube alone is $20, but everything can go for $45. Make an awesome scopeclock? http://i.imgur.com/zWMuI.jpg

---TRADE OFFER---

1 perfect-anode coolidge tube and an AC flyback. Don't have a CW to toss in there, but lately china has been flooding ebay with HV capacitors and diodes so building a nice one doesn't cost all that much. You also get about 330J worth of camera flash (pulse) capacitors, for making a mini coilgun or something similar. And, I'll toss in >40 TIP-122A's, for linear things.

I'll trade that for some galvos or a 445 handheld. Or, make a cash offer. :-)

Where did you acquire the Thorium Nitrate? You into photography? Thorium Nitrate was used along with Uranyl Nitrate as a Photographic toner/ How big a box do you have?

Re: Stuff for sale

Interested in ALL the CD drives, PM incoming.

Re: Stuff for sale

What's the shipping cost for the lead shield?

Price & shipping on one 5kV 30mA non-gfi NST?

Re: Stuff for sale

So how much are you looking to get for one of the 9Kv NST?

Re: Stuff for sale

What do you DO with Thorium Nitrate? I googled it and left unsure...

Re: Stuff for sale

Well outside of outdated and shunned photographic processes or making your own thoriated lantern mantles it is a rad (radiation) source useful for mostly alpha and gamma spectroscopy. The problem here is that it is a powder, which makes it a high contamination risk, especially if handled by a novice, or worse, someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

BTW, the lead box and one of the 7.5kV NST's has been grabbed by yours truly, so it is no longer available.
