Sorry that I couldn't reply earlier on this thread.
The chrome ring is pressed into the focus adapter. If it become loose you can do things to fix it. Make sure the brass lens barrel is unscrewed and removed from the chrome ring.
You can superglue the ring to the copper adapter or put a layer of tape around the ring and pressed it into the copper focus adapter.
I wish the brass lensbarrel was directly attach to the focus adapter but Th3dArKn3o couldn't make it this way and the chrome ring is needed for the thread.

In my SS 2.5W+ by Blord i had the same small problem(iam with copper heatsink and custom focus adapter by Mohrenberg).The focus loosen its position everytime.With a small piece of Teflon tape around the metal barrel everything solved!So Simple.....

Very nice. I'm waiting on delivery myself for my black dominator. Good choice if this is the start of your collection. Just be careful .I'm sure you already know , but safety is a big deal in this community.

the only other possibility I can think of is that the diode module is loose in the Heat Sink, in which case, there is a set screw in the side of the HS (you need a small hex key). this requires pulling out the HS from the host, and I'm NOT SURE this WON'T do more HARM. Blord would need to tell you that.
or the g lens is stuck or mis-threaded into the diode module.
I can't think of anything else that would render the DominatoR unable to focus

Make sure that the lens barrel isn't become loose from the focus rinf.
You can see that when you turn the focus ring and the lens barrel stays in the same position.
Just unscrew the lens barrel and tightens it back to the copper focus adapter to remedy the problem.
Let me know if it works out.
