The eBay restriction is NOT dependent on the FDA guidelines. It is based (biased?) in eBay's (misguided) safety guidelines. No. I cannot explain them to you. They don't make any sense to me. They don't allow the listing of firearms either and firearms do not require FDA approved safety systems and/or an FDA number. You can sell multi-WATT lasers "IF" they are not hand held or they are just "OEM" components. Yuo can also sell more powerful "laser show" systems (scanners).

Many sellers "get around" the restriction by refusing to list the output or simply listing it as <5mW and relying on the buyers to do some research about what it "might" be.

There are other venues besides eBay to sell stuff. Also, this forum is NOT eBay.

Peace,
dave
