Well, it looks like the original expected buyer on this one has backed out, so I am re-listing it. (no response for a while in private messages) The price tag is still $135 shipped in the US. For anyone from overseas who might be interested, send me a pm to let me know you are interested and where you are located and I can get you an estimate for shipping. Weight is about 85 grams of sterling silver. I don't have a weight on the cabochon sapphire set in it, though I would guess a little over 1 carat.

As a reminder, this is a host only, to complete it you will have to make your own laser module and press it into the host, you will need to make it case negative. As well as supply your own 10440 battery (it's designed for a protected 10440. A non protected battery is shorter and will require a longer spacer. Some building skill is required to complete this host. Also, it's meant to be more of a "working" pointer, and a 10440 (AAA sized) battery will not be able to put out particularly spectacular powers. Keep this in mind.

Included is the silver host and a plastic spacer you can use as a contact point for the positive connector for the battery.

I hate to give up waiting on the original person who was interested, but I can't get started on the next host until this one is paid for.

Re: FS: Sterling silver 10440 host

not looking to buy today but definetely interested in a month or so.

I was wondering if you would offer any other designs (or do you have a mould for just this one?) also I read you may be designing one to house a 18650 battery, is this still in the works? One last question, if I sent a gem of my own would you be able to install it instead of yours?

I'm working on a side button momentary pushbutton one next. The pattern will be a bit different, but overall it will be very similar to this one. It will be out sometime this month.

also I read you may be designing one to house a 18650 battery, is this still in the works?

I am still working on one. I've got a partially constructed version in the works however it's going to end up being a one of a kind piece. I've scrapped at this point any usable mold for an 18650 host. The silicone mold rubber we use at my work just deforms too much during wax injection on a piece that thick, and I've not found a decent polystyrene plastic tube the right size, length in a decent supply. (Casting can be done with either wax or plastic, but polystyrene plastics burn out much much better then most others, so if I can pin down a decent source for tubing of the right sized plastic tube for the battery, I can pull off a reproducible host based on it, molding the parts non plastic that I need.

I will most definitely this spring have a single 18650 host cast and completed. However it is going to be pricy as a one of a kind piece with quite a few hours put into it. The price range I am guessing it will be is around $350 - $400 or so, and again, it will be a one of a kind piece, but that is a guess. I've not finished the wax work to the point of casting it, let alone purchased the several ounces of silver needed to cast it with.

One last question, if I sent a gem of my own would you be able to install it instead of yours?

Most certainly. I would have to have the stone on hand before I could cast it.
