I went through a buying spree over this last two months and spent WAY more than I should have so now its time to try and recoup some money for bills and moving expenses! My loss but will be passing it on to a good home! I bought this Sky Ray M4 earlier last month and it took over 3 weeks to get here! I was one of the lucky buyers in a few ways; others have reported getting DOA lights due to shipping mishandling (luckily the seller is replacing them but they are having to wait 1-2 months to get a working light) and also many buyers are reporting waiting over 1-2 months to get their first light!!!! Good news is this light is already in the states and ready to ship.

Details from the seller:
100% Brand New
Made of high quality 6061T aluminum alloy, this flashlight is sturdy and durable enough for long time daily using
Lamp base: CREE, high power LED. With a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours or more, no need to consider replacing the cap for the whole life.
Waterproof, but don't put it into water long time
Super Bright, blinding Effect
Crenellated strike bezel for enhanced self-defense
3 Mode: high low strobe
Bulb: 4x CREE XM-L T6 LED
Switch Location: Tailcap (middle)
Max output: 6500 lumens
Power by: 4x 18650 3.6v/3.7v battery
Size(mm):135 x 55(bezel)/50(body)
Net Weight (g): 345g

My observations- This is not a T6 light but however a XML-U2 so this is yet another way i got lucky i guess (I havent seen a Black Kung with U2's for sale in a long time). Also im guessing conservatively that this light is doing around 2800 Lumen and not the claimed 6500 based on a XML-U2 driven at roughly 2A will give 700 Lumen and there are 4 emitters.

Light is in great shape with only one nick from packing (right on the red button accent). Pictures show how amazing this light is but unfortunately I have to sell it for bills and moving expenses (not cheap to move from MA to FL).

The UI is High Medium with a hidden strobe by holding the on button when the light is on. The manufacture calls it high low but its more of a medium since im guessing its about 50-75% of high and low is normally 5-25% of high. also as you can see from the photo i used 4x sanyo flat tops and the light worked fine. total use of this light is literally under 5 minutes. Light also works with less batteries so if you really want a low mode it can run off as little as 1x 18650!

Baseline photo (small amount of light coming in from tiny windows at ceiling height):

High

Medium

800 Lumen Convoy C8 vs Sky Ray M4 (C8 is a T6 so this shows the difference as well)

Ceiling bounce test

The little scratch from when they packed or assembled the light

High medium comparison didnt come out well so im getting some outdoor shots tonight to also show how much flood and throw this light has. its supposed to be a flooder but this thing has a ridiculous amount of throw as well (200 yards easy)! Also getting a better ceiling bounce photo that shows the light in it as well as how it lights up a pitch black room to perfect daytime light.

Finally, I am looking to get $45 shipped SOLD (lower 48) for this (light will arrive in 2-4 days not the 3-7 weeks from china if bought else where). I am willing to ship international but buyer pays added shipping. May trade for a laser or something along that lines but really hoping to get some money for gas to drive to FL. Offers are always welcome, worst I could say is no, right

If you want any specific photos please let me know and ill do my best to get them for you ASAP

Thanks for looking :D

EDIT: Batteries not included

wow, so tempting!! I'm sure it would be pretty easy to take that switch off and strip the anodizing and polish it.

I think measuring the current at the tailcap with a dmm would give you a good indication of how much lumens it's putting out.

Re: FS/T: Sky Ray Kung (M4) 2800+ Lumen Flashlight

i tried measuring the output at the tailcap but in order to do this i need to take the whole bottom of the light apart. the tail piece that comes off doesnt allow me access to the right area. if someone is SERIOUSLY interested then i will do this but like i said ive had it running for a total of 5 minutes. didnt want to strip it completely just to measure the current

Batteries not included, sorry that would be giving this light away for free basically

Taking the switch out and polishing the red ring looks pretty easy. as far as i can tell from some of the tear down threads ive seen; it only requires you to pop the driver out and drop the emitters out as well then the while thing is a shell. ill look and see if it can be done by taking the bezel off along with the reflector and then the emitters that way if your interested

Re: FS/T: Sky Ray Kung (M4) 2800+ Lumen Flashlight

Hmm if I can find a source for cheaper 18650s than the $15/ea ones I've been getting from Lighthound then I may jump on this.

Would be willing to trade my 473nm lab laser if interested. I can't remember if it was 40mW or 70mW, but I can LPM it if interested.

Re: FS/T: Sky Ray Kung (M4) 2800+ Lumen Flashlight

It is an amazingly nice light and im bummed to sell it but just bought an aspheric thrower and id rather keep that over this. need money for moving and i have about $200 stashed away for a project that ive been waiting on for a good 4 months so cant touch that! as soon as i can afford another one then i will be buying a replacement. if i cant get a deal worked out with someone then ill be happy to keep it

LIGHT IS STILL AVAILABLE, sig had to pass due to previous unknown engagements with the misses so no hard feelings buddy. if its still around next week then its all yours!

Just poppin' in to say Livin sent a pic with his name in front of the Torch, so it is indeed in his possession. No worries there.

Yep, usually I can predict my better half's planned purchases, but sometimes she likes to surprise me. For those of us in this (and related) hobbies the old adage is especially true; Happy Wife; Happy Life.
