Hey guys!

Im done with xrays and HV so I really have no need for this X-Ray tube and transformer.

The tube has been used and is in working order. The psu is rated for 65KV @ 7mA.

I'm asking 35$ shipped anywhere in the world for the tube and 100$+ 10$ for the xray transformer (US only sorry)

I might also have the screen used to take photo's of the xrayd objects. Ill have to look but I can offer that for 20$ shipped as well if I have it. Ill have to look.

Photo's below, any questions please feel free to ask! Thanks for looking!

That X-ray is pretty interesting stuff!

Good luck with your sale, i'm sure someone here would be interested.

On the side, what kind of PSU or transformer did you use? I would guess it's just to expensive to replace? Did you ever get photo's from the tube or are there other things you can do with X-ray besides just seeing through things?

Sorry for my ignorance, just curious.

Thanks Carl!

I used the original transformer that came with the unit. Some people may have their own PSU which is why im offering JUST the tube. Yes the psu is the main piece so its pretty expensive but nothing compared to our hobby :p.

Not really much you can do with an xray tube besides take REALLY nice photos and see through things which is really cool! Dangerous I may add.

Heres a thread I made with a pair of photo's. Mario and me were a FAR distance away from that thing and our geiger counter was still going crazy so we both are pretty much done with xrays. You can see the xrays hitting the pixels on the camera

Also GOOD NEWS! My psu DIDNT die! So.... Ill be offering that here too. Though I will be asking for ID and wont sell to anyone under 18.

Re: Selling USED X-Ray machine!

Sounds like good dangerous fun.

Your link to the photo's does not seem to be there. I would be interested in what kind of work you and Mario did.

As I need yet another project after my surgical procedure to have another hole put in my head, I must ask what you would be wanting for the psu and tube?..........just fishing for now...

Theres the link. Forgot to post it :O

We mainly ran the tube at 3/4 the max power of the transformer and used a long exposure to capture the photos while surveying the radiation. I'll send you a PM.

Just so you know, you will need a container and some oil to insulate the transformer from arcing over. Even under oil it can arc to the primary. Ive had it happen and now my oil stinks like burnt wires. Also I URGE you to read up on ionizing radiation and the effects it can have on the human body. X-rays are REALLY dangerous.

What kind of stuff would you consider for trade?

I'll send you a pm.
