I wrote a review thread of this here:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/review-quad-sst-90-quad-26650-a-69191.html#post999088

If you simply took the datasheet lumens per emitter, you'd have a total of 10,000 lumens from this beast! In this case, the emitters are probably driven harder than datasheet current too, so the figures may be pushed higher. At the same time, I know "out the front lumens" are not the same as datasheet lumens, so that number may be pushed lower. Don't take "10,000 lumens" as gospel. But no matter how you slice it, this is by far the brightest flashlight I have ever seen. In the comparison below, it is put up against the 100W HID headlights of a truck (on the LEFT) and the flashlight by far out-brights it (on the RIGHT).

Read over the review thread I wrote, and I'll try to fill in any addition info as required. But I'll not that I didn't build this guy, I bought it, so I don't have highly technical knowledge of it, other than knowing that it was built by a respected member on CPF. One note, you don't actually have to use 26650s if you're an 18650 person. All you need are the cheap $2 plastic converters that abound on eBay and various chinese websites. 18650s still drive this guy to a brightness level I've never seen matched.

I love this flashlight a lot, but it's not a convenient flashlight to move with (which is something I'll have to do this summer). I realized that to get this to my annual camping trip would required taking it in in-flight baggage 3-times before August. It's just not practical for me to keep right now. I'm going to need to invest in something less bright, for this summer at least.

Price: $275 + shipping

I think shipping may cost a lot on this, but for simplicity, I'll cap the price for tracked/insured shipping in North America at $20. Any extra, I'll pay. For international, please PM me first.

How long do the batteries last on this beast? I am interested. Thanks so much.

Man I wish you wouldn't use the word "quad" unless you talking about a motor and frame and wheels that you strap between your legs and go fast !

Cuz It makes my heart race when I read that word

BTW nice flashlight !

A idle question since this is out of my price range, but are you including batteries with the purchase?

Re: FS: Quad-SST-90, Quad-26650, "Beast" Flashlight

Actually I have been looking for a extremely bright flash light, I live in the woods !

And that compared to the 100W head lights really dose show a big difference.
did you take the picture of the 100W light ?

Thanks...

That was fast!

Don't look into the emitters. In all seriousness, I think it could cause some eye damage.

btw - positive end in.

wow this flashlight can be used as self-defense at night. Except, it's kinda large to carry around lol.

holy crap I missed this when it was for sale, but that is the craziest flashlight I have ever seen(well a close 2nd anyway) very very nice. interested in building one how much the emitters cost, 40-60usd per?

Hey Darkside, Go to the CPF Candle power forum I am sure you can find a build there. A portable sun in a compact size!

Ummm..I think the daylight pics are the night time photos.
Where does one find a hand held light house like that?

It does basically look like someone turned on the sun when it's on...

Personally I don't need that much power, but than again... can one ever really have too much? :tinfoil:

Edit, seems crazy that just ~6 years ago I was super impressed with 60 lumens from surefire. Now I'm carrying around a light about a third the size and six times the power.
