Sorry Jeff!! I got the key and it fits perfect so I'm sure it'll work :) haven't gotten any wire yet though soooooo hold off on the celebration for now but ill let you know!!

By "Viper-like host" I meant the black and gold, higher quality, sexier host rather than the usual cheap black and silver. Everyone else seemed to understand that.

Oh, lol i didnt know cause someone posted a picture of the viper and said it was that. Dont get me wrong, im still interested, these are good for the price. Other pointers with the host is at MAX 6mW IR filtered. Ive tested the others before :)

I'm selling one of my cameras, My xbox games, My psp & psp games.
I will have enough money to buy some of these BUT first I need your opinion will the 405nm or 532nm or 650nm laser modules on o-like & DX work on this because that is essentially what I'm gonna do. I find these the most beautiful lasers ever and I would love to turn it into a cheaper and more powerful than original laser! :)

I agree Those are 1 good looking sexy hosts:drool: ! i Own a Viper my self & looking at those pictures they're all most identical. Making me want to buy some :D.

These are very nice hosts, better than I expected. IR content is minimal, so I tend to concur that there is an IR filter in there.

You can see it too if you look down with some light. Dunno of any lenses that are purple-ish that aren't IR filters ;)

Yeah they do look pretty similar. The clip on mine is a little more wavy but other than that relatively the same! Might be a little shorter too....

Mine registered ~4mW of IR. Considering overall output that's pretty good... but that's the reason why I'm somewhat uncertain about whether whatever that purple thing is infact an IR filter. It could just be an AR coated lens to protect the module... which wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I'm not willing to take it apart to find out though... like the host too much:p
