Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

It's not a low cutoff driver that would be nice. It just shows you when you hit the low threshold that you've set. You set low and high and it shows a little battery symble like on a cell phone. When it's out of bars it's at the low cutoff.
I really like the way these hosts came out. I especially like how Ehgemus put the meter slightly to the side. Gave it a good look I think.
I want to find some lipo batteries or something that can handle the current draw. WhIle running the NUBM06 at 4.5 amps with the SXD-V3 it's drawing over 7 amps from the batteries. Even really good batteries have a hard time with that. Not to mention the switches.

The Efest IMR works well, they hold 4 volts @ 4 amps into a 1 ohm load fresh off charge, typically the higher the mAh the more the sag though, so I go with the Efest 4200mAh 60a peak 40a continuous and they work well.

The Imren 5500mAh are garbage, " claimed to be the Efest killer" BS! They sag faster than NCR18650B non IMR/INR cells. From off charge straight to 3.5v into 1 ohm, not what I call High drain/ low resistance.

The Greens are good the purple are very good.

And Yes I agree, these look Great, I see what you mean, the meter is offset so you can see it past your thumb. Will you sell just the host/meter combo?

This is one of the new lasers I have for sale. I have 4 diodes to choose from. NUBM06 NUBM07E NUGM01T AND the 700mw oclaro red diode.

What would be really interesting is having an external pot to change the current (which you'd see on the display) up to the maximum set.

Re: NUBM06 diode copper and aluminum host

Hopefully I'll have this soon. It's a prototype.

I just thought of a cool thing I want to do with my quad 006 build. It is going to be a pretty crazy hand held.
So you can pay to get a satellite I'm of your house or even you. Once you pay for the image they will tell you the exact time they will be flying over and taking your picture. So as long as it's not much money I want to see what the beam is like from space. It should make a pretty cool picture. I guess it could be done with a drone but I think the satalite will be better.

Has anyone ever done such a thing? I would like to hear about it if you have.
