SOLD

The “Bushwhacker”
Features:
• 445nm M-140 diode
• 1.8A Mogasm round driver. The resistors are heatsinked with small blocks of copper that make the tops even with the top of the IC. Then the whole thing is heatsinked with 2 layers of 1/8” thick copper, one fit tightly inside the pill and the other fit into the top of the pill and in solid contact with both the pill and with the main heatsink. All components are bonded with arctic silver (real silver not the alumina).
• Massive copper heatsink! Just under 1.5” in diameter and 1.5” long. The diode is pressed into a copper module which is pressed into the heatsink (not pressed up against one side by a set screw) for maximum contact
• 405-G-2 lens with ¾” focus adapter
• 2x new AW 700mAh IMR 18350 batteries (included)
• Custom paracord wrapping
This laser was designed to have an incredible duty cycle, and I put a lot of very meticulous work into achieving that.
In this case, the limiting factor for continuous runtime is battery capacity, NOT heat; therefore there is NO DUTY CYCLE necessary.
I have no LPM data for this laser, but with an M-140 driven at 1.8A and running cool with a G-2 lens, it should be around 2W. I am very willing to use a middleman to measure the output before a sale is finalized.

You must provide proof that you own eye protection for 445nm in order to purchse this laser. If you don't have eye protection, Uvex SCT-Orange glasses can be included

The amount of sexy here is off the charts.

Also I'm willing to bank it's over 2W. 1.8A is quite high, and a G-2 lens is not a small bonus.

haha thanks,
I would guess it is over 2W as well, but I'm not going to make that claim without LPM data to back it up

Its a very beautiful laser and looks professionally designed.. You got one hell of a creativity with that heatsink designing and a parachord.. Price is good too..
If it's a DTR's M140 i bet that's producing one hell of a stable 2W+ with a G1.
I will place my bet on the 2200~2400mW section !!

Probably true... If I knew for a fact it was 2.4W I would probably set the price a little higher:D

You should really LPM this laser to price it correctly :p

I will LPM it for you. However I'm in Toronto. So perhaps you might be looking for an American volunteer first :)

I'd love to get it LPM'd. I'd feel a little unethical though if I were to jack up the price after I found the real output.

You are not jacking up the price. You will be selling at its true value. It could very well be only 1.8W or a massive 2.2W (remember that it might not be as efficient as you might wanna think.)

So by LPM'ing and getting it's true value, you're really doing everyone a favour ;)

Very true. But even if this laser were a confirmed 1.8W, I would still be asking $250 for it. A confirmed 2.2 might be worth more, but since I'm not going to jack the price up, LPM measurements wouldn't really change anything.

Oh C'mon! Just look at the laser It's beautiful, I dont think ~2W or 2W+ mean anything if you have this kind of build.. DBF Claims it to be UL DutyCycle how often do you see this kind of builds!! I mean i would love to grab it in a heartbeat if i havent had more things in my mind right now!!

Like I said; if anyone is interested, I'd be happy to send it to a middleman to have its output measured before anyone committed to buying.

...If anyone wants to volunteer to act as a middleman, I can send the laser to be measured now.
