473nm is really new and not so normal . But $300 is a little expensive, Do u think so. If there's discount I will be very interested.

The price is $200 now, not $300. BTW, that's a good price for a J/L PLE-Pro 473nm!

How visable is the beam at night outside? I really wana buy it but im haveing trouble justifing the output vs how big the laser is. When i think 50-100mw i think of pen lasers although this is no ordinary wavelength

The beam is not very bright, but beautiful regardless. It kind of depends on the lighting outside. If you're somewhere with no lights whatsoever you're definitely going to see a nice beam. It needs a bit of a warm up (maybe because my room is 17 degrees celsius), but after that it's an awesome laser. I actually lit a match with it once.

i really wanna buy it just because of the praise it gets on this forum and the uniqueness of it but then i go over to sci fi lasers and i can buy a 4+w 470nm laser for $300 and a 1w green for $370 that could cut the world in half

Those Ophir heads are the best thing for hobby LPM's, easy to set up, and easy to add data logging if needed. Would highly recommend them.
