Re: FS: 270mW Red 650nm Laser

@Foshizzle45, indeed its cheaper but you can't be sure about it being overspec. My dilda does about ~130mW yet its advertised as 200 mW. People were lucky and received the same laser and it outputted >200mW. You claim you haven't heard of anyone receiving an underspec laser. Is that from lazerer or generally from chinese laser companies?
Good luck with your sale, InfinitusEquitas.

Ah in this case I never bought from lazerer so I can't really know but assuming they are cheapass, I wouldnt be surprised if they came underspec. Anyway it was just $31 or something? Was my first laser anyway :p

Everyone has had one of those at one point I am sure, that is the only working laser I have access to right now lol, still fun and worth 30 bucks.

Lazerer has a MUCH better reputation than DX tho. They also aren't QUITE as cheap.

Updated the OP... will include unprotected, perfectly fitting 18650 battery, and just did a new LPM test.

:bumpit:

Come on folks, nearly 300mW 650nm laser, LPMed, with battery, and shipped anywhere in the US.

Also if anyone is curious, this laser is very easy to upgrade with a g1 lens.

Sure... but g1 lens isn't cheap... costs almost as much as the laser itself.

If you want I can put one in for $58 for you, total would be $123. Will take me about a week to get the lens.

Re: FS: 290mW Red 650nm Laser $65

Usually gain from g1 is between 15 and 30%...

IMHO for a red laser like this it isn't really worth it. I was just tossing it out there in case anyone has a g1 lens lying around. The lens in there now can be removed by simply breaking two small bits of epoxy and unscrewing it.

So using these numbers, with a G1 one should expect a power reading from 333 to 377mW. Sounds good to me.
