Re: 445 UV Flashlights up to 1.8W

well just the regular AW 18650 2900mah have 5.8A discharge and the 2600mah ones have 5.2Adischarge. and the AW IMR 18650s are 10C :O

and yea those 26650 batteries look huge. I may need to order one just to see how it feels in my hand

Well I am not sure what the AW are rated but I can tell you they cannot handle a 4A discharge. I have actually not seen a protected cell that will. I will have to dig but I did a dual microboost back a while ago and the AW 2900 just could not cut it. It just went straight to pulsating.;)

Silly me thinking it was only the chinese based companies that lied about their products :). I see so you have to go with unprotected cells to get the draw needed. interesting

Re: UV Flashlights up to 1.8W

About 500mW with a 12x diode.

I do hate to contradict and 500mW is definitely suggested for longevity. But I have one pushing 730mW and have many hours of life on it so far.:yh:

Here is some data that Morgan put up on his last test of the 12X Lite On diode. Efficiency will vary slightly from diode to diode.

Lasing threshold - 3.65V at 30mA

Run from there in 25mA steps we get these results on my LaserBee I @ 150mm using a Jayrob 405-G-1 lens

V-------mA-----mW
3.97----50------33
4.3-----75------71
4.55----100----107
4.78----125----146
4.98----150----186
5.15----175----228

5.49----250----340
5.57----275----379
5.64----300----412
5.71----325----450
5.76----350----483
5.81----375----518 Class IV!
5.85----400----551

Re: 445 UV Flashlights up to 1.8W

Thanks guys, I know I had seen them at around 500 to 600mw but wasn't sure what the highest was.

Re: 1.6W and 1.8W 445

I did make the OP a little easier to understand.;)
