Hey guys I've run into some difficulty and I need to sell my Spartan. Its got between 1-2 hours of use on it maybe, and I've metered it at a peak of 102.3mW. It is also a MULTILINE, with suspected extra lines at 583.8nm, 586.2nm and 591nm. It's just your standard Spartan host with little to no cosmetic wear and it's basically never left my apartment which stays at a nice 69 degrees year round. I have always placed the cap back on it when not in use and has always been stored in a Pelican carrying case. I feel like it is in excellent condition and I can add some photos later when I'm off work.

I'm asking $450 for the laser. if you buy at that price I can throw in a little something nice as well;)

Just a quick bump/edit: I'm no longer in need of selling the unit, but I'll still keep the laser up for sale.

I'm probably gonna have to drop out of the hobby for a bit while I'm building up my life. I'll still stay somewhat active on the forum though:)

Best of luck. Yeah, hard these days to fight off the urge to buy more lasers when you have bills, car payments etc...

We'll stay here if you need us :)

Sorry to hear about your situation Lildutchboy, hopefully it's short-lived, and you can get back to the hobby soon. :yh:

@Zraffleticket, that 589 sure would brighten up the ole signature; I can see it sitting right there between your 532 and 635, looking like a little bit of sunshine! ;)

I know... I eventually want to get a spartan 589... but after having that 490, I need something >480nm again before I can make any other big commitments. If joeybab offers to sell his PLT5-488 that clocked in at 484nm, I'll probably get that and jump straight into this. Otherwise I need to save up to bin a few Sharp diodes...

Man, it's tough when you have to resort to selling off lasers to live. That sucks. I hope your situation improves soon. I have made gifts out of some of my lasers, but so far have not sold a single one.

I could live without selling it, but my phone decided to kick the bucket and I'd rather not dig into my funds as I'm saving for a car:)

Edit: A new(to me) car*

Having a car is going to make your life so much easier(if you don't have one already). This is why I saved up during my senior year in High School for a car when I enter college. 1 month before classes started I had my car and am sure glad I did. Made going there and anywhere I wanted much easier. Cost me $4,000 for a 2000 model with only 121,000 miles! :D

I'm saving up for something nice:D

But yeah I currently have a car, although it's getting sold here soon. I've been working at my work for about 11 months now and I've saved up a decent amount. I'm ready to get a nice car that will last me a long time. I'll get back into my hobby after I've got that and a few other things settled:)

What was your first car?

Does that mean that you've had it for ten years? Otherwise, the math doesn't work. :)

Im confused now :(

I bought the car in 2015, so that would make it 15 years old when I got it, whoops. Now it's 2017 and it has about 133,000 miles now. Not too shabby :pop:
