SOLD

Up for sale, my first 445nm laser.

This one has the 445nm diode harvested from a Casio projector. It has a Micro Boost driver. It comes with a 405-G-1 lens. It is housed on a Jayrob 18650 kit.
The driver is set at 650mA for good burning AND a very long life. It is putting out 540mW with the 405-G-1 lens.
It comes with one battery. It is focusable and will ship (priority) the day after payment is received.
It is offered here for $275 (international buyers add $5 for additional shipping).

This beam shot was taken with NOTHING added to the air. :)
No. I did NOT adjust the color.
That is just how much blue light is reflected around the room.

Re: FS: >500mW 445nm 18650

Hey dave,
I know you laser is of a much better build quality than WL but,
What is the mass of its heatsink?
Duty cycle?
These lasers are going to be great, glad to see one for sale from one of the best members here.
That laser looks great and very compact size compared to the WL 8-9in laser

nice!

as overrated as WL is, (imo) im stoked for the arctic, but part of me still thinks owning something like this would be so much freaking cooler.

i think it has something to do with the brand name on the side *not being a laser manufacturer.

I have not weighed one of Jayrob's heat sinks for this kit. He may be able to chime in with the mass of the heat sink and the mass of the host.

Duty cycles are still a matter of experimentation. Trust me, WL doesn't actually know what their's is yet either. :shhh: They appear to be using the market for their research

Peace,
dave

Re: Pending Payment >500mW 445nm 18650

Time to take on some assembly monkeys Dave and start churning these out by the bucket load. I definately would be interested in this build at that price point

Let me know if this sale falls through, I can have the PP to you immediately.

Who gives a sh*t about Wl. Diy builds are much more awesome :)
Dave, why did you sell this beast? It's your first 445 laser :(

i was saying i would much prefer something like this, or to complete my own, but since i succumbed to personal pressure and ordered an arctic, i will be building the bare diode i got from dave into a projector for show purposes.

im glad this flew right off the shelf.

btw dave, sorry to pollute your thread, but i received the diode in perfect condition, thanks so much again!

I have a very different view from many with regard to "off topic" (especially in a for sale thread).

Virtually, any bump (except fighting) is a good bump ;)

Peace,
dave
