Re: Feeler: 445nm ~980mW

I got a little confused with the different lens options. Could you explain the options available and what kind of power and divergence each one has. Also are they all focusable? Thanks!

Forgive me if these are incorrect but this is how I understood it:

Aixiz acrylic:

$56 off asking price $199
slightly better divergence
15% less power

LarryDFW Hi-Power 405nm:

Full asking price $255
980mW output
Decent divergence 1.8mrad on fast aixiz and 0.8 slow. these refer too the rectangle beam shape, fast is length ways and slow is from bottom to top.

This is correct. Again, I don't have exact measures of divergence. I can measure tonight after work, though.

However, the Aixiz acrylic will be about 20% less power. The Aixiz 405 glass will transmit more power than Acrylic with the same beam characteristics. However, I do not have an Aixiz glass to ship with the laser so I will ship it with the Acrylic at no charge if the hi-power lens is not wanted.
They are all focusable by turning the black focus ring at the aperture.

So the hi-power lens offers a circular or rectangular dot? Also, a little more pics and videos would be greatly appreciated if possible.

Short of some complex optical wizardry, you can always count on a rectangular beam from these diodes.

Yes. This laser does not feature any beam correction.
Best balance between power and beam quality will be with Aixiz glass lens.
