High quality? Where the high quality? I'm missing something obviously

I think you meant highly efficient diode, because that is honestly the only thing unique about this build in any way shape or form. To everybody checking this laser out, you can have the exact same laser for right around $150 in parts, and less than an hour of labor! As long as you can solder a couple wires together it is as easy as can be. If you set yours to the same current as Ryan's and use a g-1 you should expect at least 1.8W and you could get lucky and get one that does 2.5W just like this one for half the cost. Or you can pay RE $150 for an hour of labor.

And hell if you really want that 2.5W pay extra for a binned diode! It won't cost an extra $150 Ill bet!

And remember, this seller built his first laser less than 2 months ago. Who knows If they will stand the test of time?

Food for thought

I actually took about 4 hours to put this together. I'm not too fast, but I do put in my best effort and make sure everything is right :)

Well then that's good. I'll let you go now, you apologized so I'll lay off.

The price war these days is cruel. As a kind of new member it´s hard to persist against the BIG builder names (lazeerer, DTR, rhd, yobresal, Flaminpyro and a few more).

You might not get the money for your cherry picked diode what it´s worth, but with continous good sales, you can begin to charge more. Personally I like to pay more for very efficient / freak diodes.

Looks as clean as any other build I've seen, if not more.
Good job on the build and good luck on your sale.

Thanks Jake, this means a lot to me, straight up.

That is true. Tbh, I don't feel threatened by any of the BIG builder names who you named. It's actually the heavy mob-mentality that is the biggest threat for me. Moh brought up very good points in THIS post that really summarizes, better than I ever can, how I felt and what I wanted to say (but if I said it, I'd probably get neg repped and/or banned).

That's awesome man. You'll love this host definitely. There's nothing that can compare how it feels in your hand (get ur mind outta the gutter! :p). But yeah I'm not joking when I say it feels like holding gold. haha

Thanks a lot Fret. I love your builds too.. especially that DIY LPM, that's something I have to start researching about! :D

Just an update: the build is now sold again (Should be concrete this time) lol.

And thanks everyone else who've supported me, I really appreciate all the feedback, PMs, & comments.

I do my best to ensure the product is shipped to you. I ship my builds legally and they will be legal-on-arrival, so customs should not get anywhere near it. I would love to say guaranteed delivery, but that is not an easy, simple statement at all.

Maybe when I'm done school and not in knee's deep in student debt :p

Realistically, wait a couple of weeks and let me reap in some profits as I'm still in the negative atm. Once I'm positive and have enough to cover the risk, I will take up your challenge of guaranteeing delivery to your country.

Cheers

Yes I'll accept the fine and jail term if I did anything wrong and against the law. There will be no issues like that.
