Trying to get rid of the old and get some of the new!

It's the laser that's in my sig. It doesn't have an IR filter and the beam comes out at a bit of a slant.

Duty cycle is advertised as a minute but I like to keep it closer to 45 seconds. The power fluctuates from 325mW upwards to 480mW according to my old LPM.

The host is that old cool Rayfoss host that they don't sell anymore :(

Divergence is good but the beam is pretty thick and doesn't burn well. This laser is more for looks than burning!

Ill put some more pics up if people want (other pics in my sig).

Asking $300. Got it for around $530 (so you know)

Re: FS: 350mW Rayfoss Green Laser

Update: there was a shit load of dust on the lens. Just cleaned it off and damn this baby still has it! Solid beam in a room with the lights on :)

Re: FS: 350mW Rayfoss Green Laser

Perhaps I misunderstood, but in the thread linked in your sig, didn't you mention that it has an IR filter (Edit: see post 33 in that thread)?

Also, any chance you could post the output profile for a ~60 second run? If not (I seem to recall your LPM was broke at one point), what's the output once it stabilizes?

Yes yes, but the diode fried and when rayfoss replaced it they removed the IR filter and didnt put it back in.

I don't have a LPM right now. I'm waiting for a Kenometer pro that I ordered but kenoms on a little bit of a backorder so that might be a while.
The laser doesn't really stabilize though. It starts at maybe 325mW and after it warms up jumps to 460+ then slowly goes back down.

Ahh, ok - that makes sense then. Any idea about how much of the output is IR?

How long does it take to warm up? Do you recall about what the power level is at 30 and 60 seconds? Just trying to get a rough idea about how it behaves.

Thanks :)

I tested it through goggles and it read around 40mW as I recall but you have to realize still a small portion of that is green but not very much.

And warmup time depends really on how cold the laser is :p sometimes 15 seconds sometimes a full duty cycle!

Re: FS: 350mW Rayfoss Green Laser

Those older RAYFOSS green lasers with the thicker beams take EXCELLENT PHOTOS. Especially at that kind of power. Good deal IMO, since the DIODE has been replaced. About how much time does the new diode have on it. Just info. for prospective buyers.
(my RAYFOSS HP GREEN is the >600mW model) FYI

I don't blame you, & if you DO want to burn with it, just use a magnifying glass to focus the spot tighter !!! (I'll bet the beam on that looks friggin' AWESOME in the fog)

Exactly. The new diode probably has maybe 3 or 4 hours of total use on it so not much at all.

They really do. Check out the beamshots AND video beamshot I have (link in my sig)!!

I've got a 950mW 445 that covers my burning needs ;) For me, the green would just be for show.

I live at the base of the Smokey Mountains, so fog and mist are quite plentiful around here - so I'm hoping you're right.

Yeah 445s at like 750mW+ are perfectly fine for burning, especially if they are focusable!

At night it's truly spectacular, especially if you make sure the lens is clean. When there's mist or fog at night it makes the beam light up honestly like crazy.
