Edit: Just for future reference, as I keep getting questions about the module not being flush with the heatsink, even after I posted the results of my testing on multiple threads. When using modules with a full copper back half, it does NOT make enough of a difference to sacrifice the ease of focusing the laser to flush the module with the heatsink. I observed less than 1 degree C difference after many duty cycles when pulling it all the way out to where the front half meets the back half. If someone wants to purchase one of these, I will gladly flush it if it will give them peace of mind, however, based on my testing, it will only make it more difficult to adjust the focus on this host while providing nearly no effect on heat dissipation/transfer.
SOLD! I will be posting the others and also a 520nm PLP520-B1 build tonight. Perfect timing, too! I bought an Ophir DG-HH at the same time I sold this laser. I now have the 10 watt capacity I need to measure the new NUBM diodes! So excited! If anyone is interested in these, PM me, as I have 3 more that I am currently building.
Greetings everyone! So I've decided to get myself a decent Ophir LPM that is capable of measuring the output of the new NUBM44, and I need to sell some of my current laser collection to do so.
This is one of my favorite hosts, dubbed the "Zombie Killer". It is anodized silver, and the only changes I've made to the host is adding the green tailcap cover in place of the original orange. It uses a BlitzBuck driver with an added aluminum heatsink set to 2.4A to drive a Nichia NDB7875. The heatsink is an aluminum one from Rick Trent with his copper module(my favorite module thus far). Power output as verified by my Laserbee 3.7W USB was 3.343 watts with a G2 lens. I will include a few pics on this thread. Price is $215 and includes the laser and two 18350 batteries. I will entertain any reasonable offers. Must have safety glasses to purchase. If you need a charger and/or safety glasses, I can include these in the sale. I have three more of these that I will be building this week. I am keeping one for myself because I love these hosts, but I will be posting the other two for sale as well. With any lasers I build, I will repair them for only the cost of parts if you ever damage it as long as you own it. If you have any questions at all or would like more pictures, PM me. Thanks for looking!
