I was in process of making this laser when the buyer back off the deal. He was requesting a 2 Watt laser.
It has an efficient M140 445nm diode, 445nm G2 glass lens, copper Aixiz module, polish aluminium heatsink, WF-501B host, blue lenscap and custom made warning label.
This laser was set at 1.67A in order to have a output of 2 Watt. The buck driver is efficient and needs only 1.1A current draw from the two 18350 batteries.
Every component is brand-new. The diode has run few minutes for stability testing. Runtime is 30sec on/off

I am asking $250 for the laser. That includes two 18350 battery and a laser goggle.
I want to send it only in Europe, preferable in Belgium or Holland.

I will donate 5% of the final price to the laserpointerforum. Without the forum this sale wasn't possible.

Very nice. I would probably round down and call it a 1.9W but still a great value and it will most likely last a good long time as it is set to a more conservative 1.6A. Sure it will sell quick.:beer:

I have a slow LPM. The time has already passed 30sec. I am sure it was hitting the 2 Watt mark in the beginning. :)
I will change the description.

My advice would echo DTR's

I hear your perspective 100%, but I think you're better off leaving that potential "benefit" as a bonus to the buyer who has an Ophir or a faster LPM and can detect it.

You can always say so in a description, like "Measured 1.9 on my LPM, but would probably peak above 2W if you can catch it early in the duty cycle" <-- I do that sometimes.

It's really in your interest, because otherwise a buyer will get it home, LPM it with a 45 second meter, see it hit 1.9W, and feel unhappy. Whereas if you call it a 1.9W, then there's a benefit if someone finds out it actually peaks above 2W. It's ALWAYS a good idea to under-report power, if for no reason other than variances in LPMs. The last thing you want to do is sell a laser that's underspec in someone's mind (even if it's not really) by 5%, if there's really no reason to. That 5% won't impact your selling price.

I have measure the laser again and the output is more than 2 Watt. Even after 1 min. Look at the video I made.
Don't worry people this is a real 2 Watt laser ! :thanks:

Hi I am not a newbie and I have been around since 2006 especially on the WL forums.However I am new to laserpointer forums.

My friend murrat just posted this link to me and I am actually looking for a >2W laser at the moment.

I already have a WL Arctic 1W but when I measure its output with my Coherent Laser Check it averages around 750mW and I am looking for actually something stronger and averaging something like 2.2W

Yours is peaking 2W but not averaging it , isnt it ?

Do you have one that is averaging about 2.2W, I am willing to pay.

If this laser is my only chance, i can consider buying it too.

The laser has an minimum of 2 Watt output. After 1 minute test the output is still 2 Watt.
I don't think it can reach 2.2 Watt but 2 Watt is guaranteed.

I have a Canon 7D DSLR camera. The photo's were taken with a Canon EF 100mm macro lens and a tripod. :beer:

Laser itself : Very good and very powerful it burns immediately.

And attached there is a video of its burning capabilities. This laser is so powerful everything I point it to begins to smoke :) So it is very dangerous.


I was too afraid to shine the laser on to the roof or the leather seats of my car , because it burns instantly. I made a finger burn test, as soon as it touches my skin it burned immediately .

Finally you can see the a video that I took in my car. Sorry for the shaky video as I shine the laser with one hand and hold the phone with the other hand.

P.S I will see why the video is not working
P.S.S Bring a charger, i realised I do not have a 18350. charger
