SOLD - 2+ Watt 445nm Ultrafire U-501B Beast of a Laser

I just finished another 2+ watt build using this host, so I'm going to let one of them go.

The laser is built in an Ultrafire U-501B, with a massive copper heatsink milled by Flamingpyro and a custom 30 Caliber focus adapter, also machined by Flamingpyro, and uses one of DTR's G2 lenses for the increased power output.

The heatsink alone probably weighs over 1 pound, and the laser feels nice and heavy in your hand. After a full minute powered on the laser just barely feels warm. I'll not go so far to say that it has an unlimited duty cycle, but it is well over a minute.

It consistantly LPM's at over 2050mW on my LaserBee LPM and hit over 2100 on both of DTR's LPM's, so with measurements from 3 different LPM's I will gurantee power on this laser to be at least 2050mW

I will not sell this to anyone that is brand new here and has never owned a high powered laser before, and it is an absolute neccessity that whoever does buy this laser have safety glass!

Mark forgot to mention this laser has a custom copper driver heat sink that is it's self sunk to the host body through the pill



This is a very cool laser and well worth the asking price :drool:
the heat sink has a clearance to the host body of only .0005" so heat sinking is superb, the best you can buy at any price

and with the driver heat sink this should have a real good run time even at this power out

What driver are you using, and what is it set to? What diode? m140 I assume?

It is using one of RHD's Mosquito drivers set to 1.74mA, and output with a standard Aixiz lense if over 1650mW. To answer the diode question, yes it is an M140 and a pretty effecient one at that.

Well, to be outputting 2watts at 1.74mA, it must be VERY efficient

How much did this sell for, just curious

Dont dig up old threads to ask about sale prices. Prices 2 years ago are VERY different from what they are today.
