Well, here is the moment some of you have been waiting for. A deal on a 12x.

I have been so uptight with homework, tests, projects, server projects, skiing, work, and my ps3 I have not TOUCHED my laser in over a week(only two weeks old as well). I had great fun with it, but it just seems like if its going to reside in the corner of my room, I have better uses for the value of it.

I have some pictures to share, and I plan on taking a video and doing some editing this weekend, hopefully Ill actually do it. It easily pops balloons 58 ft away, and burnt through some floppy disks. Beam is very visible at night. Stats- V6 flex drive, safe 380mA, treacherous 555mw, jayrob 405-G-1 Lens, clicky switch in back, focusable, Snazy power-packin igorT romisen host with ~1.5hrs of runtime.

This laser was upgraded from a SF-AW, total cost of the original plus the upgrade exceeds 500$, but I acknowledge it is not actually worth that much. I am aiming for a 380-400$ range, Im not too sharp with price determination. You can crank this puppy to ~500mA to break that 700mw line, or stay safe, obviously the owner's choice. :beer:

The Trade.
I have not earned my place as a highly respected member of this forum yet, and probably wont anytime in the future. If I find my buyer highly respectable, I will ship before payment. If not, we can set up a highly respected middleman. This will be my second laser barter. I will pay for USPS shipping, includes two rechargeable 14500's (last about 51mins of run time on the laser), and two glow in the dark dust caps to cover the laser when in relaxation period. :whistle:

PICS!

This is an absolute STEAL at that price!!

The host and heat sink is IgorT's, but I did the rebuild/upgrade of it.

I would be happy to act as the middleman for this. It is a quality construct.

I wish IgorT would sell just his heat sink/host

Peace,
dave

Originally built by IgorT, but upgraded by daguin. So like he says, it is a Daguin build with an IgorT host/heatsink. I will probably shoot for that upper price range due to what I am hearing ^_^

Re: FS: 12x BDR in IgorT host/heatsink

Parts and shipping alone:

Diode = $215
Lens = $55
Driver = $35
Host = $15
Heat sink = $25
Batteries = $5
Misc. materials = $5
Shipping = $10

Total = $365

That does not include any cost for assembly. I charge ~$30 for this level of assembly/repair (and I don't have time for many)

Once again -- THIS is a steal!

Buy it now!

As I said, I will act as middle man for the sale if you want me to "check out" if anything has changed from when it was built until now.

This is a "no lose" for the buyer ;)

Peace,
dave

Haha Daguin, you seem most enthusiastic about this laser being sold. And I would be interested in seeing if the power has dropped 5mw or so. Just wish I had somebody near with a laser meter.

Sandidge did you mean to send me a pm?

Just trying to let people know what a deal you are actually offering them here. This is less than the "normal" cost of an 8X.

With what all you went through to get this done and the quality of the components/build, I think that you should keep it forever.

However, since you decided to sell it . . . . .

Peace,
dave

Yeah but I had my fun with it, it was worth it. Its just time for me to have some extra money in my pocket.

No duty cycle due to Igor's amazing heatsink.
