This is considered sold to a member from UK.
Thank you all!

Hi folks.

I'm selling my personal favorite (and coincidentally, the only laser I have) in interest of raising money for computer hardware.

Specs:

- Diode: M140

- Driver: Flashlight buck driver customized for 1.7 Amps output

- Batteries: 2x 26650

- Lens: RE-1; This is a single optic element lens similar to G-2, minimal losses, only one out there as far as I know.

- Host: Large 2x 26650 flashlight host labeled as "Sabre". Battery barrel comes apart in two, allowing shortened 1x 26650 configuration for some 100mW-ish output. I do not know the official host designation as it does not carry any numbers or brands on itself (essentially it's an unbranded, unlabeled host), it was available a while back (that's when I got mine) but I cannot for the life of me find such a light or a host online anymore.

Laser was built in April of 2012, so it's three and some years old, however hasn't seen any heavy use - diode is still going strong and host does not have any external blemishes or scuffs or scratches, aside from a small, barely noticeable anodizing defect along the edge of the tailcap's end.

Diode is pressed into standard Aixiz module, which is contained in a massive aluminium heatsink made for this host. This is the second-largest heatsink design I have, second only to SAiK.

Driver's IC is heatsinked via small aluminium block, and seated into a seperate massive brass pill, seperate from main heatsink.

Both the duty-cycle and battery runtimes are insane.

So,

Included:

- Laser (with custom lens) obviously
- Free safety goggles (ones pictured)
- Free worldwide shipping

NOT included:

- Batteries or charger

Unfortunately I do not want to include the batteries and charger with the laser because the only pair of 26650 cells I do have are:
1) 3 years old like the laser itself
2) Being used, one in my EDC torch and one in my backup torch. This is one of the reasons the laser went unused anyway, because even when I did wanted to pick it up, I had to go collect the batteries from the flashlights.

Asking price:
$160 after Paypal Fees (as mentioned, free worldwide shipping included).

Thank you for looking :)

So you're saying the beam is smaller with that single element than with a 3-element?

So you're saying the beam is smaller with that single element than with a 3-element?

The beam is thinner at aperture, which results in some increase in divergence later on.

Or to be more precise, 3-element lens sacrifices some beam power, by clipping off the beam, to offer better divergence.

But yeah if you're asking about burning capabilities, thinner beam makes it able to pull off various burning tricks without needing to focus the laser.

Bump on this one. Will also put link in signature.

As much as I hate it, this needs to go.

The G2 has a 2.39mm focal length while the 3 element has a 5.3mm focal length.
Now yes the 3 element clips the edges of the more aggressive axis but the power is more centered anyway being multimode and as for burning ability at 10 feet the 3 element beats the brakes off the G2 because your energy density, that is your " spot " size will be about 400% larger with the G2 than the 3 element.

I have G7 lenses on the way from podo and they are single elements said to have around a 6-8mm focal length, so spot size will be as good as the 3 element and power will fall between the G2 and 3 element.
If anyone is interested here is a link

If they are as advertised then the G7 will be my new favorite.
I also have S1 lenses on the way, but thy are just less expensive G2's I do believe.
Tell me about this RE-1, where can I get one?

You can't.

They were supposed to be supplied by a member called "RyanElectro", hence "RE" designation, and I was supposed to machine a batch of small aluminium adapters to fit into standard blank metal lens nut from Aixiz.

I got one as a sample and made a lens from it.

Meanwhile, the member simply dropped from the face of the Earth to the best of my knowledge. I never knew what happened to him :/

Gonna need to bump this again.

Price drop to $160.

Would also like to remind everybody that I accept Bitcoin as well.
