Thanks Glenn, GGW arrived today. Tomorrow I will buy 2 jewellers loupes from harbor-freight for $2.88 each. Soldering wire onto the pins needs to be done when its ten-foot tall. ;-)
HELP  this is my first GGW would someone pls tell me which LD is which. I don't want to mess up this expensive LD. btw there are more optics in here than I think my optomitrist owns.
Glenn, its alive! I am only running it at 122ma, for the moment on my DIY Daedal. I may bump it to 180ma or wait for flex-drive at 180ma. Those short pins on the GGW are scary. I snipped the unused one off carefully and then with 10X magnification carefully soldered positive and negative leads on. If the blob of solder is too large it would be difficult to remove. So I was conservative and then added a little epoxy for mechanical strength. That gold plated base where the pins protrude is tricky because I think you could get shorted to it. I'm hoping that the epoxy plays nice when the LD gets warm. ;-)
Glenn, I got my LCC red going nicely at 160ma, but an intermittent connection on the LD terminal killed it. How much for LCC's or equivalent? Just the high power reds. I would like some sent priority if thats available.
Glenn, I need 2 high power red LD's with 2 Aixis modules. They don't have to be pressed in because I know how to hacksaw the metal piece around the diode now. I'll send you 2 x 12.66 now. Let me know how much for priority shipping thanks. Edit: PM me with the amount and I'll send payment. If those LDs are priced low enough I could use three, with just 2 Aixis.
I am temporarily all out of Axixz modules, may get another batch, and also, I may have a neighbor who would let some go, but for the moment, I just have the following sleds:
How much would it cost to have a LPC pressed into a module and if you happened to have any flex drives lying around have it soldered on and attatched to the correct current? Only my soldering iron broke and I'm left with something that really is not suitable for soldering diode to driver. And shipped to the UK.
