Still nothing, checking the mail daily hoping I'll have a surprise but it's looking more like a daily deception so far...

You have proof it's been shipped to me ? Still, unless you have proof that it's been delivered (which it hasn't) to my verified addy... It's still my buyer's right to initiate a claim if it doesn't get to me.

I don't really doubt you shipped it... and there's still plenty of time for it to get here, but I just wanted you to know that I will exercise my right to a claim if I don't have it 30 days after I paid for it.

Yeah, I have trevor. I have also ordered hundreds and hundreds of times from the USA in the last 10 years, and while stuff usually takes from 2-3 weeks... after a month or so, it's getting closer and closer to a lost cause.

Ah, fair enough. It was silly of me to think that very recent experience with the crap tier of USPS shipping to Canada would be relevant.

You have 45 days from when you made the PayPal Payment
to open a Dispute.
Then PayPal will let you know how much more time you have
to open a Claim.

I also wait for 30 days but only when not dealing with a Forum
member or someone I know. Then I'll drag it out to the last day
to give the package a good chance to arrive....

Tahnks Jerry, i had the wording backwards but thats what I meant. I wouldnt open a dispute with a reputed seller but to me, this seller is a stranger.

I received today, stuff ordered from USA via airmail that was shipped on the 4th of may. Nothing from you yet tho.

Yes, he provided 'proof'.... in the form of a post office receipt + the carbon copy of the customs declaration... both of which aren't really 'proof' cuz you can pay for shipping and never drop it off.

Ahem. Airmail.

I just went in my PM inbox to dig up an example. I sold weidmark (Ontario) a NdFeB magnet and shipped it to him on June 12 of 2011. As of July 12, he still had not received it.

First Class mail is SLOW from the US to Canada. It is NOT airmail.

The problem is that if it does not get delivered.... you
are still responsible for it.
That is why you put Insurance on a package.
That then puts the responsibility on the courier...

Anyone want to know how this story ends ?

6 weeks after supposedly shipping it, seller goes dark, doesn't reply to paypal complaint/claim and I get my money back thx to paypal.

Thx for wasting my time, jerk.

I wonder why smeerworst got his laser, in a timely fashion(IIRC??) And you never got your LPM? That's odd as can be.

I would have accepted it as a loss to the postal workers IF he wouldn't have disappeared and stopped answering messages...

But the fact that he just stretched the dispute as long as he could, then once he know I was going to escalate after 6 weeks just shut up and waited as long as possible before being forced to refund.
