My posting of getting a free laser in return of doing a group buy for Jetlasers was sarcasm, quid pro quo. I am happy to debate you point for point, but you never ever want to talk about facts. You would prefer to point fingers and call me unmannered.

There is nothing wrong with recieving free merchandise for doing a group buy. It's perhaps only fair that the company give something in return for good publicity.

Nor is there anything wrong with not returing a review sample. JETLASERS has sent out many review samples, and I'm sure if there were any issues someone would have raised the red flag at one point sooner or later.

And I'm sure someone would have said something if hak was indeed sucking up to JETLASERS.

I'm sure someone on LPF would have said something if that was the case.

They don't just pick names out of a hat. They look for someone who knows what they're doing, and, unlike you, have a functioning brain.

He was deceptive by saying he returned the laser... he got a free one still. I am arguing that he should have been honest about receiving a free product.. he mislead us on purpose by not disclosing the whole story, by pretending that he was doing the review and group buy out of the goodness of his heart.

Hell, even Jetlasers guy said he got the 250mw laser in RETURN for doing the group buy. hak said it was for doing a review.. Interesting is it not?

I think it was made clear that the laser was a review sample, which means it's free.

It doesn't take more than one brain cell to work out that a review sample is provided free. You don't pay for a review sample.

He got a 150mW unit for review. He reviewed, and returned it.

JET is sending him a 250mW as a result of a group buy.

He chose to return the review sample, he never had to. I don't see how this makes him any worse of a person.

I am leaning towards the thought that an honest review needs to be done by a veteran who does NOT keep the laser or I think in the back of my head that the reviewer might be biased, either consciously or sub-consciously, to give the product a better review then would have happened otherwise.

This leads me to believe that you are being deceptive in general when you don't include the whole story. It would have been much more honest if you had said:

#3 I never said returning the laser makes him any worse of a person, if fact if he would of returned the laser and not received anything later I would have participated in the group buy and bought a laser as was my original intention. I would have been singing hak's praises as a super honest fellow with honor above reproach.

#4 He IS keeping the 250mw laser, I don't blame him for it and I have stated that earlier. What I DO get upset with and I think anyone with more then two brains cells would understand is the deception of saying "I returned the laser" and then failing to mention that he is getting an even better laser sent to him in exchange for the laser that he is sending in... leading us to believe that he was just doing the review out of the goodness of his heart. That I have a problem with.
